(45,251 posts)he also got a lot of amendments passed.
Remember, he also founded the Congressional Progressive Caucus, and chaired it for its first 8 years, growing it from a half dozen original members, well, from 0, really, to the largest caucus in Congress.

Someone is missing some logic skilz, and that would not be Bernie's supporters.

(45,251 posts)I've been sticking relatively close to this group and the populist group and, sometimes, GD sans primary. But, even in this group and the populist group.....
And GD seems to get a bit of primary shit stirring by proxy, code or whatever.
This hidden OP MIGHT be an example of that:

and POSSIBLY this unhidden one

(6,440 posts)I found the reactions hysterical and over the top. Saying that Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders both speak to their party's base is NOT the same thing as saying Bernie Sanders=Donald Trump. They are different, because their party's bases are different. One is concerned with equality and social justice, and the other is concerned with ensuring that white, ammosexual, protestant males retain the privileges to which they feel entitled.

(45,251 posts)I could be wrong because it was a hide, not merely a thread lock. My personal objection to it would be that it was a slam against Bernie in GD, very thinly disguised as a comment on the Republican primary, not the Democratic one.
