Last night Bernie was on local news in Nor CA last night-I recruited another Bernie supporter today!

My mail lady deliver a box to me today. When I told her they were button backs for Bernie buttons, she replied: "Is that the older guy I saw on the news last night?". I told her I didn't know as I dumped TV earlier this year, but asked if he had wild gray hair. She said , "yes". I told her I was working on his campaign and was really happy to finally have an honest politician that is really working for the people.

I gave his stance on numerous issues and she said "I'm in!"

I told her about our facebook group and upcoming meeting, but she doesn't do facebook and is too busy for meetings. SO I told her I would get her a list of volunteer options and if she saw anything she liked that I would help her, help the campaign!

One by one we will broaden Bernie's group of supporters!

A recommendation from a friend or co-worker, neighbors and family, is far more impactful than any ad or other campaign PR. A lot of people don't know who Bernie Sanders is. Some polls show 40% unknown, so he has lots of room to move up. Keep talking about him and especially your postal delivery person who should know that Sanders is fighting to keep the post office alive.

If we tell two friends, they'll tell two friends, and so on, and so on, and so on.

I can't wait until our materials are ready, so I can have 1/4 and 1/2 sheet handbills to pass out and bumper stickers, etc.

I chat it up at yard sales, in line at the market, and where ever else I go. I got another supporter that way, promised her literature!

And I am collecting names and contact info to add to our volunteer list!

Seems that most people love what they hear about him.

I make sure to emphasize that they need to inform any family and friends they have spread out across our country. As we ARE the media. ANd I ask each of them to teach one or two or more!

That if you have a printer you can print out to hand out. Admiral Loinpresser posted a link here recently, it had many different versions that were great. Hope he sees this thread and chimes in.

But here is one. If you scroll down to the bottom, and click on the link, it will come up full page so you can print it out.

This is also a very print friendly one

This is pretty interesting but unless you love using ink, might be better to send over email or something.

So I think the campaign is just trying to deal with everything that's going on and it's cool if we get started. His campaign is grassroots anyway, so if it doesn't look slick or professional, no problem. It's kind of exciting.

This is very exciting, to see people starting out on their own just because they want to get the word out. It is not disciplined or well-financed which probably some people will criticize, but it's genuine so that's what counts. I really have not witnessed this in my lifetime.

news from TV. I haven't had tv in years and most people I know don't really watch much either, especially the news. I think that might be the split in support as Bernie is winning the internet. Hillary is strongest in 45-65 years old with Bernie doing much better in younger people and older people. I think part of that, at least in the case of the younger set, is the internet.

The tv news has been very dismissive of his candidacy and they MSM is waiting for the two billion to come flooding in, so they are highly biased. But social media is where Bernie can get a lot of support. He's also not buying facebook and twitter followers which is very bad internet manners.

and so are most of the people I am talking to, I just haven't been polled yet. . My son already said he likes Bernie and he has no TV in Japan, what he has learned has been from the internet!

The media must be frothing at the mouth thinking of all that red money coming in...

So yes, it is up to us to spread the word far and wide!

……that Bernie is fighting to save the post office and to not allow it to be privatized.

I got an email from some progressive group I subscribe to, to please tell all our mail carriers what Bernie is doing for them.

I would love to have more info to share as soon as I figure out how to hook up my printer. Luckily I still have reams of paper left over from an initiative I worked on a decade ago.

…I discarded it to clean out my inbox. But here is the direct link to Bernie's statement about the USPS from July 25, 2014. It's a terrific statement.
You can print it and give a stack to your carrier for his co-workers. Actually, I think I'll slip one to the workers in my post office next time I go in.
Thanks for your prompt.

8. I am trying to find a spanish speaker to go with me when I register voters.

I live in a faming community with many hispanic field workers. Many are not registered to vote and many are not fluent in English. Many may not be documented, but many are. I really need someone that can help translate as I work to get those eligible registered. We also need to look at getting flyers done in Spanish and you might do the same for your mail person to share. Thanks for triggering that thought!

I have other friends that work at the post office and I already signed them up to our group.

On DVR s is making the political TV commercials less effective. And of course more and more get their news from the internet. These trends work in Bernie 's favor!
