Of course, you want to talk about him, but the card would be good reference material for those who don't know him and might look him up later.

The card should have some good links to youtube videos, and if someone here could write up a cool This is Bernie speil, I think that would be great.

I used to make my own business cards on a computer. Perhaps these 12-points of Bernie's can be made more concise and then with a small point print can be copied to each side of a business card and run off on one's computer. Somebody that's creative here can put Bernie's logo on it and his website.

I'll check all these ideas out.

I cannot upload anything here, but if I come up with a card for myself, I'll start a thread and type in the gist of what the card has on it. It would have to be printed on both sides, and I am talking about something like a folded over business card, so it's 2x the size of a normal card (or maybe even three times, so it folds with a flap on top and bottom), and packed with info, but small enough to keep in your pocket or purse.

And I will probably make myself a sign to hang inside my car window. I have never put a bumper sticker on my car...ever, but I'm waiting for my Bernie bumper sticker and as soon as it gets here, it's going on my car. I will definitely need to get a Bernie button too, so people who are interested might stop and ask me about him...then I hand them a card.

You're preaching to the choir here, but I'm worried that to someone who didn't really know who Bernie is, it would have shades of the Ron Paul cult.

If they are a fox news watcher, it doesn't matter what I give them. They will think that anyway. But if they are, they probably wouldn't be interested in finding out more about Bernie, so I'd have no reason to hand them the card. The info on the card would just be so they can pursue their interest with some good links. And I"m not going out of my way to proselytize. I'm not that comfortable pushing my views on people. I just want something to give to people who are curious and ask me about why I'm wearing a Bernie pin.

I think the situation is slightly different for Hillary, because everyone already knows who she is. If a Hillary supporter handed out a card with her policies on it, it would just look like standard-issue political advertising. The reaction would depend on the recipient's already existing attitude to her.

With Bernie, his name is still getting out there. Handing out cards might look a bit...weird.

Does anyone else here think this might actually hurt rather than help inform people about Bernie? I sure don't want to do any thing that would make me look like a LaRouch idiot.

He's not going to get the corporate MSM to cover him so we have to do the job they won't do. Tweet & Facebook about Bernie. We have to make Bernie go viral.

Word of mouth also works and every chance you get make sure the person you are talking to knows who Bernie is and why he is important. A good endorsement coming from a friend, associate or family member will go a long way.

We also have to make the social media message a daily thing. Trump is now taking all the oxygen out of the room and getting a lot of coverage on the cable news shows. So much he's detracting from the rest of the clown car candidates.

Hillary seems to be grabbing all the attention on the Dem side with her visits to Capitol Hill and can do things with all the money she has to keep her name prominent.

We have to help Bernie do the same. We don't hear enough about Bernie in the MSM and when we do - most of the time it's either too discredit him in some way (think Claire McCaskill) or the late night show hosts making fun of him in their monologues.

We need to have Bernie's back and we need to keep his name prominent out there and social media is a way to do that. We need creative individuals to put out youtube videos that take Bernie viral in a good way.

I like it that Bernie is going about his Senatorial duties very diligently. As such - he sticks close to D.C. and the goings on in the Senate. He is doing his job. Perhaps we can use that in some positive way to show that Bernie is more interested in doing a good job versus stroking his ego by constant campaigning - like the other candidates.

These are just thoughts and observations I've had in watching the Bernie wave develop. It's still early in the game folks and as more people learn of Bernie and his foundational programs - that resonate with them - the more support he will garner as we move to the primaries and beyond. Go Bernie!!!!!!!

I got attacked for pointing out that Her Inevitableness had a mere 4 pt lead, which is essentially tied this far out, with Jeb. You would think she was leading by 20 from the reaction I got. Once people get past the idea that HRC is the only candidate that can beat republicans, and that she isn't even that safe of a bet, then my hope is that minds will open up to other candidates. And Bernie seems to be the only other one running at the moment with significant support.

So far, well over a year ahead of the general election and nearly six months out from the first primaries and caucuses, almost all polling is pure name recognition. Trump polls so well for Republicans because he has massive name recognition. Same with Hillary. As all of the various candidates become more well known, things will change.

I keep thinking that hate drives Republicans more than anything. The only thing that Republicans hate more than Obama might be the Clintons, and I think that will play a big part in the general elections.

But I think it's good for Bernie, he still has far less name-recognition than Trump, Bush, etc. His #s will only go up. If he beats Hillary in the primaries (which should remain the focus for now), then his #s will probably be even better than Hillarys. He will def bring in more crossover, youth, and alienated voters to the D ticket. That will more than offset Hillarys PUMA crowd.

The lead he has over Trump is slightly outside the MoE, but the one thing these republican clowns all have over Sanders is name recognition.

Hillary will have trouble going up as the press and GOP beat on her, while Bernie has much better teflon on negatives and has a very positive upward trend right now.

Every poll seems to have different numbers, but Bernie is likelier to beat Jeb! than Hillary! is.

Bernie Sanders is for the middle class and his message resonates with most people. I don't have to worry about voting for Hillary because Bernie is going to win this!

This may be the place to offer a few observations from the field....

In my small town (Keene, NH/pop. < 25,000) that was the site of a Sanders visit in early June, there is no 'Democratic Party' office. Instead, there is a Hillary Clinton office....which may be symptomatic of why the Democratic Party stores have yet to cover campaign materials for other candidates and especially Bernie Sanders.

Spoke to a graduate student (a Sanders supporter/but much less passionate than yours here) yesterday and she provided comments on the Hillary campaign which provided her class with a campaign visit. Overall, she thought the presentation was a turn-off. I'm paraphrasing of course.....For example, the campaigner said her goal of the visit was 'fact-finding' - my friend was rather turned off by that approach and said - why don't you know what the issues are? If you don't know what the issues are why are you campaigning. We want to here solutions....Friend felt very unmoved by the visit....

this whole group would enjoy. Little observations like that are very inspiring and often lead to others sharing their experiences. You should post that. It also really illuminates the problem of the Democratic party pushing only one candidate.

If any candidate does not already understand what the issues really are, then he or she has apparently been living under a large rock. I understand that different solutions might be offered, but "fact-finding" on the part of a Hillary Clinton sounds suspiciously like figuring out exactly how to slant her message so as to sound just like the electorate wants to hear, not at all caring about the actual issues and real solutions.

I can't put it into the language the way that you said it. But that is exactly what she is doing - I've seen 'leaders' politicos do it this way all the time. In this way, they get the little people to think that they're being heard....when in reality it's just that they're being ignored and the establishment does what it wants anyway.

I think the Democrat will defeat the Republican, no matter which two names end up on the ballot. The tidal wave of idiocy has crested, and the loonies are being pulled out to sea by the receding waters. It's been a long drought, but things are changing.

I like Bernie, but my feeling and again IN MY OWN OPINION..... I feel Bernie is just too left for a good number in the party. Poll number are not a good indicator, especially this far out from the election, but when Walker is doing better....ugggg
