how concerned should we be about biden maybe jumping in?

my gut says it does not matter and to keep focusing on bernie and his message, and that bernie supporters are very unlikely to go to biden. in fact, hillary probably has more to lose.

what worries me are the undecideds. they may not like hillary but might think biden is a safer choice if they believe the "bernie is unelectable" crap.

thoughts?

HRC implodes

I think Biden's only effect is that Bernie will not be affected by an HRC implosion

but if I'm wrong, and he does jump in to compete with her, if anything, it will highlight how different he is between them all

Biden is the corporatists PlanB. We should just concentrate on Bernie and getting his message out.

It will divide the Establishment vote, peeling off the fading Hillary support. Bernie's path to front runner will be easier this way. If Biden enters, he is likely to fade eventually, as he has done previously. Also, as Hillary fades, some of her Congressional support may come into play.

The only downside I see is less debate time for Bernie. On the upside, maybe Chaffee and Webb won't even last till the debates. Unless they have Dark Money, I don't see how they will survive financially.

Sounds good to me. Bernie leads a movement. Others promote the good old boys network.
That said, I like "Uncle Joe" and want him to have a happy and long retirement.

In that scenario, he picks up most of Hillarys support, imo.

due to his background machinations in helping to get Clarence Thomas on the Bench. I have a feeling this is the DNC floating a trail balloon and hedging it's bets as they see HRH failing. Again.

But he'll pick up some ABC support. IDK if it's a net loss, a wash, or a net gain.

he takes votes from Hillary rather than Bernie. The only way he's a threat is if he replaces Hillary because he doesn't have the Clinton baggage factor (which could happen if she had health issues etc). Still, his legacy of working for the credit card companies will sink him.

Honestly, I have been a LONG time supporter of Joe Biden and I simply love the guy. One of the best people in politics in my view. I supported him when he first ran for President way back in the day and especially admired him when he took responsibiity over that certain speech.

That being said, I support Bernie. I had been holding back to see what would happen, but felt that Joe would not run based on some of his personal stuff. Still, I DO love the guy. He is the kind of guy who would take Bernie as a VP if he did win the nomination and they would be a good fit.

That being said. I support Bernie. I think those who say that it would create a larger voter bleed away from Hillary are correct. Bernie supporters are locked at this point, including me.

I love the guy but not most of his politics. He is fun to listen to, silly and funny. His Clarence Thomas issues are huge for me and should be for most women. I love his stances on LGBT issues but the issues I like about him are all covered with Bernie. The rest I find are not what I wish to see for this country.

He would be fun to listen to, as he always is, but that is about as far as I could go with him. I do think he would pull from Hillary, certainly not many from Bernie.
