Xxx -
Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, and Hillary Clinton all have Super PACs to raise unlimited amounts of money to support their campaigns. They're funded by millionaires, billionaires, and even some We don't want any part of that. Bernie's not going to have a Super PAC.
corporations.
But we do want to build a Super PACK of supportersfolks who give a monthly contribution to our campaign, even if it's just a couple bucks.
Join Bernie's Super PACK with a monthly contribution to our campaign:
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Express Donate: $5 a month
Express Donate: $10 a month
Express Donate: $25 a month
Express Donate: $100 a month
Or, donate another amount.
When you join Bernie's Super PACK, we'll also send you this great sticker so you can let your friends and neighbors know how you're taking on the billionaires.
Monthly contributions are so critical to our campaign. The reason we're asking you to give monthly is because it gives Bernie's campaign a sustained, predictable source of revenue.
Knowing that every month we'll be able to count on contributions from our Super PACK means that we can build the organization we need to win.
The billionaire class shouldn't be able to buy our democracy. But they're trying. So far, Super PACs have raised nearly $300 million, according to the New York Times. Most of that money comes from some of the wealthiest people in America.
In fact, donations from fewer than 400 families account for half of the total money raised so far for the presidential election. Thanks to the disastrous Citizens United Supreme Court decision, there are even shell corporations donating more than a million dollars a piece to support candidates on both sides of the aisle!
We may not have the billionaire class or shadowy corporations, but we have you, Xxx.
Can you join Bernie's Super PACK by adding your monthly contribution today?

(22,271 posts)$25.00 a month. He's REALLY going to need money now in that he's expanding his headquarters in NH, adding staff and having to pay for all those arenas -- pretty soon it will be stadiums.
If he can get 2 million of us to donate $25.00 a month that's $50 million each month. THIS is doable!

(18,791 posts)So if I already give monthly via his website...will I still get the new sticker?
I want one!
...and I still chuckle, on his FB page it asked for $3 per month...what other candidate does that?

(14,807 posts)Sometimes I gave more than once a month. Sometimes through DU and sometimes not.
If I sign up for the monthly then I can still give right through another site or even du site? Does this mess up things? Or should I give one set amount through the DU pack and then just donate to his campaign elsewhere???? I am now confused. I don't usually know how much I can give until that particular time.
What is the max an individual can give btw to a candidate????
Thanks!

(9,664 posts)Contribution Limits for 2015-2016
Under the Federal Election Campaign Act (the Act), certain contribution limits are indexed for inflation every two years, based on the change in the cost of living since 2001, which is the base year for adjusting these limits. The inflation-adjusted limits are:
The limits on contributions made by persons to candidates (increased to $2,700 per election, per candidate)(52 U.S.C. § 30116(a)(1)(A));
The limits on contributions made by persons to national party committees (increased to $33,400 per calendar year) (52 U.S.C. § 30116(a)(1)(B));
The limit on contributions made by certain political party committees to Senate candidates (increased to $46,800 per campaign) (52 U.S.C. § 30116(h)).
The inflation adjustments to these limits are made only in odd-numbered years. The per-election limits on contributions to candidates are in effect for the two-year election cycle beginning the day after the general election and ending on the date of the next general election (November 5, 2014 - November 8, 2016). All other contribution limits are in effect for the two-calendar-year period beginning on January 1, 2015 and ending on December 31, 2016.
National party committees may establish accounts to defray certain expenses incurred with respect to Presidential nominating conventions, election recounts, and headquarters buildings. The contribution limits applicable to these accounts are 300% of the limits on contributions to national party committees, which means that the accounts may accept up to $45,000 per year from multicandidate committees and $100,200 per year from other contributors during the 2015-2016 election cycle. 52 U.S.C. § 30116(a)(1)(B) and (a)(9).
and even if you sign up for a monthly donation directly with his campaign you could send more when you can threw another supporting site...or just snail mail a separate check to the campaign
