Super delegates - the implications for Bernie & how you can help

snip

"Super delegates are all the Democratic congressmen, senators, and governors; officials in the Democratic Party, and former elected officials like Presidents and VPs.

snip

In a very close race, the nomination could ultimately come down to the super delegates.

snip

While it hasn't yet happened that the nomination decision came down to the super delegates, it is entirely possible that it could. As much as I'd love to see a landslide, I think this is going to be a close race for Bernie, and if we can do anything to help secure the votes of the super delegates, we ought to.

What can YOU do?

Write to your congressmen, senators, and governors (if they're Democrats) and encourage them to vote for Bernie! I think this is especially important if your elected officials have been on the same side of an issue that Bernie has while disagreeing with Hillary.

Remind your elected officials that the reasons you voted for THEM are the same reasons you're voting for Bernie - because of their stance on [insert issue here].

Pick whatever issue you want, as long as Bernie and your official match up! Remind them that their congressional/senatorial record more closely aligns with Bernie and don't let them get away with voting for the establishment candidate against their own record and the wishes of their constituents.

I'm having problems posting links so go to Reddit article for links to find out -

1 - how your congressman voted.

2 - how your senators voted.

3 - how Bernie voted and a comparison with other senators

All the women in the Senate, including Warren, signed a letter begging her to run.

These people are beholden to the DNC. It's going to be do-or-die time and I'm not sure how brave these congresscritters are. If they ignore the voters and cast their votes for the DNC choice they risk an all-out uprising. Another in a long list of unique and interesting elements in this election cycle.

FYI: IMO calling or emailing your rep and senators is a good way to waste a few minutes. I do it--only God knows why--but it does nothing. Most of the time I don't even get a form reply, except maybe one that says "We heard from you and we'll get back to you." then, they don't.

7. What is the greatest number of signatures ever collected on a petition?

Take that number and find out which percentage it is of 350 million, which is roughly the population of the United States.

Do you know of a single vote that was ever changed by a call, email, letter or petition?

If those things were ever going to work, they would have worked for a public options, when Senators, members of Congress and the WH were barraged by all the above plus demonstrations all over the country, including a march on Washington by nurses.

We have to stop kidding ourselves. I don't know if they ever responded to us. If they did, they stopped decades ago. As I say, I keep calling and emailing, but I'll be dipped if I know why I do.
