Bernie did great on ABC's This Week

The guy can stay on message like nobody else. Ask him about Hillary's campaign and you get an answer about how well his campaign is doing because of the wealth going to the top 1% and the struggles of those in the middle class.

I also really like that they are starting to hit him on foreign policy and national defense. This is exactly what you should be asking a potential Commander In Chief. Anyone and everyone who saw/sees that interview will have no choice but to picture him as President.

I only caught the very end of the CNN interview and will not offer an opinion.

I admit to typing "seams" instead of "seems".... and "waist" instead of "waste".... all the time.

Did I mention I make clothes?

11. It is clear that ABC wanted to imply, did imply, that Bernie would be weak on defense.

But ABC, like the rest of the abysmal US media, do not realize that the American people have had enough of these fake, manufactured foreign policy cluster fucks.

I would go even further than Bernie and suggest that even the Afghanistan invasion was wrong headed as no Nation—State attacked us on 9/11.

Don't waste your time telling me the Afghan government was harboring terrorists because we already know that line is composed of the purest bullshit. What government?

See? In ever greater numbers the American people are able to see through the huge smoke screen created to obscure our foreign policy perspective.

Address to the Nation on the Invasion of Iraq (January 16, 1991)

George H. W. Bush

Just 2 hours ago, allied air forces began an attack on military targets in Iraq and Kuwait.
These attacks continue as I speak. Ground forces are not engaged.

This conflict started August 2d when the dictator of Iraq invaded a small and helpless neighbor. Kuwait—a member of the Arab League and a member of the United Nations—was crushed; its people, brutalized. Five months ago, Saddam Hussein started this cruel war against Kuwait. Tonight, the battle has been joined.

transcript: President Clinton explains Iraq strike

CLINTON: Good evening.

Earlier today, I ordered America's armed forces to strike military and security targets in Iraq. They are joined by British forces. Their mission is to attack Iraq's nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs and its military capacity to threaten its neighbors.

10:16 P.M. EST

THE PRESIDENT: My fellow citizens, at this hour, American and coalition forces are in the early stages of military operations to disarm Iraq, to free its people and to defend the world from grave danger.

On my orders, coalition forces have begun striking selected targets of military importance to undermine Saddam Hussein's ability to wage war. These are opening stages of what will be a broad and concerted campaign. More than 35 countries are giving crucial support -- from the use of naval and air bases, to help with intelligence and logistics, to the deployment of combat units. Every nation in this coalition has chosen to bear the duty and share the honor of serving in our common defense.

Now that we have completely messed up Iraq these chickenhawks want to completely mess up Iran.

They do not want a president that will see nuance in foreign policy.

The only foreign policy questions they want are which country will we invade next and what stupid manufactured excuse will we use this time.
