One thing that GREATLY CONCERNS ME about Bernie is that he has an eyesight problem.

Bernie it seems to me has the right side of nearly all the issues he talks about. The problem is that he tends to ignore anything that seems tangential to the areas of policy he has studied and sincerely wants to change for the better. He's wearing blinders.

What will happen if and when the result of the primary campaign does not reflect the exit polling or the polling in general? I suspect he will do exactly what most Democrats do these days,i.e., just accept this as part of the "democratic" process and since he loves democracy so much, he will (I'm afraid) just accept defeat. What he doesn't realize is that the counting of votes is even more corrupt than politics in general, and the fair counting of votes is even more essential to the democratic process than keeping money out of it or being ignored by the media so the issues don't get addressed. Unless the votes are counted fairly, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE A DEMOCRACY. IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!

If you want to have the society that most people want, YOU HAVE TO VERIFY THE VOTE!!

An even better idea would be to have HAND-COUNTED PAPER BALLOTS for all elections, but since we have apparently fallen in love with shiny new, but trivially easy to rig, voting machines, absolutely the least we can do is to VERIFY THE VOTE. That means regular, adequate, required "audits" and rules that if there is a substantial statistical anomaly, the whole election must be re-counted ON PAPER BY HAND.

1. Then do that. My State does all of that, no voting machines, all on paper, random, rolling audits

as well as audits triggered by any number of statistical events. Hand counting is really not a solution for cheating the count, it just alters the methods cheaters employ. Systems and checks and paper ballots. It's really not rocket science.

3. They can only fix close races (ASIDE FROM THE VOTER SUPPRESSION EFFORT)

Because after flipping a couple of points, the fix becomes glaringly obvious.

The last time they tried (Kkkarl Rove's magic fix for Ohio), Anonymous saved our bacon by preventing his vote theft. I have no reason to believe they have given up the fight. Anonymous are legion, and a lot smarter than anyone the GOP can buy/coerce/trick into doing the nasty for them. Hacking is their meat and drink.

But most important, we must get the overwhelming turnout that cannot be ignored, explained away, or otherwise suppressed. I think Bernie can and will get it, from Democrats, the Tea Party and disgusted GOPers, and the Independent/Non-Voters who figure this is their one and only chance to make a difference.

I guarantee election fraud will be one of the first issues Bernie addresses. He's not blind to it, he just knows that first he has to get the public's attention, and get elected, then he has to educate them to fill Congress with reformers, and he will have enough popular and public support to fix up this deteriorating government and nation...

It's a process, much better than a bloody revolution, except I really would like to see some of the evildoers hanging from lampposts....for once.

4. I think they are bolder than we can even imagine.

They can skew things with polling first.

Which gives them more cover to skew that much MORE at the computerized voting box.

It just doesn't stand up to scrutiny that just about all races end up being skewed towards the Republican in general election match ups. Or, skews to the Establishment candidates over grassroots candidates.

Regardless, we have to take back control of the vote. It has to get out of the hands of the Republican business interests that OWN the process. It's beyond crazy that we've allowed it for as long as we have.

But, it's not working out for them very well, and it will get progressively more obvious that they are BS artists.

What are you going to believe--tens of thousands turning out at every event, or your basic lying pollster? Your friends on Facebook and Twitter, or the MSM?

This has authentic, growing grassroots, written all over it. It's an avalanche, or a wildfire, and all the cowering 1% will feel the Bern in their pocketbooks and power centers, and they will be very unhappy and emigrate. To Mars. (without terraforming, I hope).

But it's worked out for them very well so far. In the mid-terms, there's very good statistical evidence of a red tilt and in the preceding cycle where the Dems made big gains, if there had not also been a red tilt, the Dems would have had a landslide. This according to Jon Simon in CODE RED.

Simon has done a ton of investigating of the red shift for the past decade. Brad Friedman calls him "one of the most respected election forensics experts."

Here's just one of the many articles Friedman has written about this rampant election fraud that's been going on for a long time.

stealing of our democracy and even that may well be the sweet lullaby of self delusion that props up exception as rule in order to sleep through the night under the belief that the world is at least akin to the one we are taught in school and on School House Rock.

check voter registration progress in the country (you'd be surprised what can go on there) as well as polices, procedures and the conduct at the polls and caucuses on election day.

I said in another thread I was feeling pessimistic because I believe the polls are being rigged and the vote will be too. But there are comments here that made me cheer up a little. Thank you

your concern is a general one re elections. We do have a group on DU for this issue.

I don't think anyone in this particular group would argue with your position, but we aren't the ones who can do anything about it either.
