Bernie Sanders ... the comic book??

Preface!

The publisher of these books has nothing to do with the White Power Movement.

Bleeding Cool: Bluewater Renames Itself StormFront (Really?) And Publishes Metallica Biography

They now appear to have changed names, changing to StormFront Media, ahead of publishing a Metallica biography, which has received the usual relevant publicity on Billboard.

It’s just… Stormfront is an interesting choice of name, and one I am more familiar with as the name of a neo-Nazi organisation.

Maybe the publisher previously know as Bluewater can reclaim the word? Publisher Darren G Davis tells “Stormfront has been around for about 15 years when I started comic books as most of the custom stuff I did. It is absolutely not intentional. In fact we repudiate everything they do and stand for. The company has nothing in common nor any connection to that hate filled group.”

But I think it might not play well with their search engine optimisation…

The name ‘Stormfront’ is almost universally associated with the Neo-Nazi website of the same name. Just a heads up you might want to find another title. Been seeing people asking each other on forums and comment sections if you’re tied to the hate group. Thanks.

The comic book is being released by StormFront Entertainment as part of their "Political Power" series, which has featured dozens of politicians — from both political parties — since it began in 2008. The series has always tried to maintain a "journalistic feel," StormFront Entertainment president Darren Davies said in a press release sent to Bustle on Monday. “The goal here is not to proselytize for one party, one candidate, or one point of view. If we are to be successful, we need to balance our stories and provide an even-handed look at our leaders and the process by which they govern…warts and all,” Davis explained in a press release. “These books are a good example of how a comic book can be entertaining and educational.”

Bluewater Productions, which publishes comic book biographies, has come down with 2016 presidential campaign fever. On Wednesday the company will release “Hillary Clinton: The Road to the White House,” written by Michael L. Frizell and illustrated by Joe Paradise. It follows the release of a comic devoted to Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, and there are plans for comics focusing on Jeb Bush, Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Senator Marco Rubio of Florida.
