Four artists to rock for Sanders Oct. 23

Four artists will headline a Davenport concert for Bernie Sanders’ campaign for president on Friday, Oct. 23.

It’s slated for 7:30 p.m. at the Adler Theater, 136 E. 3rd Street.

Artists scheduled to perform include:

Wayne Kramer, a member of the former group MC5. Kramer was ranked 92nd on Rolling Stone’s list of “100 Greatest Guitarists of all Time.”

Marshall Crenshaw, best known for his 1982 single “Someday, Someway,” a Top 40 hit.

Jill Souble, best known for her 1995 single “I Kissed a Girl” and the song “Supermodel,” from the soundtrack of the 1995 film “Clueless.”

Brother Trucker, the Des Moines roots-rock group fronted by singer-guitarist Andy Fleming.
The event is free and open to the public, though tickets are required. RSVP here.

For Sanders, the concert will kick off a two-day swing through Iowa...
