I was afraid after the success we had last month we would not get near our new monthly average of $4,500. Bernie's Birthday and the end of the FEC reporting quarter gave us a $9,000 month. About three times our previous monthly average.

At the beginning of Oct. I set the goal to $27,000 based on our new average. As expected the month started out slow. I reduced the goal and donations picked up.

Then the night of the debate we had fantastic response. On the following afternoon I posted Bernie's thank you letter and the larger than expected donations continued for a few days. We've had new donors and an increase in pledged future donations since the debate.

So the original goal for the month of $27,000 is now the only goal we will see until Nov 1. That will keep our monthly average at $4,500. We have 13 days to get there on a little over $1,000. So we should reach and maybe even exceed goal again this month.

I updated the donation page and the follow up thank you letter for donations over the last few days.

I never imagined we would do so well when I set up the account on May first.
