Some of those programs were Congressionally inspired, some were populist, and the then-President went along because the veto wouldn't hold. Others were the response to urgent need.

but when you start listing the Fascists, then you come a lot closer to reality...and several of the above come up on that list.

Nor an empire-waging war criminal like LBJ, who is also implicated in assassinations. And as for Nixon the Dictator, don't make me laugh!

Socialism isn't something you put on and take off, like socks. It's ethics, live on stage.

The point is that what Bernie is advocating was normal for all ranges of ideologies not too long ago. But I do realize that many people will not be able to look past the inclusion of Nixon and RR.
