I commend Bernie for trying to build bridges with a virulent homophobe.

It's a difficult task, but if people want to denounce Bernie's meeting with Bernice, then they have no idea how to build a social justice movement.

But who knows? Maybe I was misinformed.

My own view is that people do evolve when someone or something sparks something in them.

If anyone has the ability to do that, Bernie does.
