Bernie question

A few weeks ago my husband was in DC on business and he just happened to be crossing the road with another man. They got talking as they walked up the road and my husband thought to himself 'he looks familiar' He said to this man 'you must get a lot of people telling you look like Bernie Sanders' and the man said I am Bernie Sanders. My husband said that he, his wife and daughter were big supporters and have Bernie stickers and signs all over the place and Bernie thanked him for the support. Bernie apparently was on his way to vote. My husband was shocked that he was on his own. The point of this story is why isn't Bernie protected by the secret service or maybe he is by now. If not he should be. We need him.

protection for him has been expressed here for months. I don't understand why he doesn't already have it, and I'm sure some will have comments. It concerns me greatly (and selfishly!).

then they should be looking out for Bernie and his family.

Anyone that would hurt any of them would have a screw loose so if it's reached the point one of them needs it, all three probably warrant protection from nuts.

But...I'm going to trust his very smart campaign about when and where he needs it.

I'll just bet that as time goes on, the crew will have to argue with Bernie over being escorted around...he's just that type of guy.

he's spent his whole life among people. I remember when he was mayor of Burlington, VT. Very progressive yet very approachable. He's the real thing.

since he announced.
this country has a terrible record of attempts on peoples lives when they speak the way Bernie does...
I tell my family members constantly that I fear for him.
its sad that it even has to be thought about.. but that's the reality of a country that let the rich and special interest be powerful a long time ago..

Just another money-pit for their owners. Not that many people know but TSA is mainly made up of contractors - paying their dues to corporations.

Such as any presidential candidate polling over 3% nationally is offered Secret Service protection. That would probably require increasing the size of the Secret Service during primary season.
