how, point by point, the directives mentioned in the article have mirrored the recent history of HRC vs SBS clashes on DU.

I honestly wish we could stop all of the negativity on DU right now. I prefer Bernie, but would be okay with MOM if he were the nominee.

If HRC wins the nomination, I will vote for her, but with little enthusiasm and a heavy heart.

I wouldn't feel good, because Super Tuesday 2008 killed any joy in her candidacy now and forever, but I wouldn't feel like heaving at the thought of her being president.

Anybody who wants to be president as bad as Hillary Clinton does, has no business being anywhere near the job.

She wants to be president simply to be president. And she's willing to sell out to any person or group to do so. And I don't doubt for one minute that her campaign is willing to employ shills to catapult the propaganda and trash anybody who appears to be an obstacle.

They have probably constructed firewalls so that Clinton and her close advisors can maintain deniability, but over time these things always seem to have a way of leaking out. And I can safely predict that if she is the nominee, and wins the general election in a close race, a whole lot of shit is going to leak out. And the republican party is not gonna sit there and take it like Al Gore and John Kerry did when the races were stolen from them. If Hillary is elected, the election will be contested, there will be investigations and her whole term will be under a cloud. Chances are she will not serve out a four year term, either because of impeachment or resignation.

And the whole sorry episode will result in the end of the big tent Democratic party that has done so much for America over the past 75 years or so.

Every single one.

They aren't fooling anyone. We know who they are and they live on DU. Must be pulling in some nice paychecks.

HRH Pays for trollers and Twitter accounts because she can't win legitimately. She still won't win by CHEATING. I find it all rather sad and pathetic that she has to BUY support.

It's why they don't ever discuss issues. They can't. Never do. They do go out of their way to dominate GDP with anti Bernie threads and on most days the first 7, 8, 9 threads are theirs.

I kicked about 20 threads this morning to bury their hateful threads - then my phone crashed....overworked. One of the operatives responded to my kicks....didn't like that I was burying all their hard work and THAT verified my suspicions I had about them. They are deliberately flooding GDP with their hate posts and keeping them at the top of GDP threads.

We need to keep positive Bernie posts and threads exposing HRH kicked. Kick, kick, kick.

Outrageous, abusive, blatant lies with no proof the source is other than their headquarters' talking points or their own fevered imaginations. Challenge them for links and you get the "I don't have to do your research for you", or "You're not the boss of me." or "Links have been posted in other threads."

When Hillary is finally forced to withdraw - of course, dragging her heels to the very last moment as in 2008, two things will happen. The trolls will disappear instantly (and probably wait years for their final paycheck) and corporate and foreign country contributions to the Clinton Family Foundation will come to a screeching halt.

Also, Hill will update her enemies' list and lay plans to run in 2020. Oh, and investors will withdraw millions from her son-in-law's hedge fund.

Dozens of one word responses and little laughing men symbols in a single thread or subthread; and as this link describes, we seen from the PPP folks posts which are consistently: "extremely nasty in character. We changed from advocates to hatchet men, and it left a very bad taste in my mouth."

It's only going to get more extreme as HRC starts sinking. Try not to feel the trolls.

They never give up until you don't respond even if it's repeating the same thing over and over again. Basically this is to drag people through the mud.

of HRC here on these forums. I won't cast all of them into this pit of ugliness. Kudos to the reddit poster for having a conscious and exposing this, because wow, really I think many of us suspected that several posters here were doing just that.

To those who are actually 'innocent' HRC posters, I will not lump you into this camp. For those of you who are working for the campaign doing such Nixonian "rat-fucking" (a term used by the Nixon campaign and the CREEP), how does it feel to be no better than those assholes. Who says history does not repeat itself.

Makes me sad to no end.

And this poster claims elsewhere on DU that he/she has not made up his/her "mind" what candidate he/she supports in the primary. I've yet to see a single post from this shill which is remotely critical of HRC, her policies or her supporters.

What do you get when you combine a dollar sign and Hill? $hill.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=shill

shill
A person engaged in covert advertising. The shill attempts to spread buzz by personally endorsing the product in public forums with the pretense of sincerity, when in fact he is being paid for his services.

At least when these trolls are so obvious, they are instantly recognized and discuonted and serve no value here, but they are using up HRC's campaign funds.

When they were just iddy biddy babies, their mamas rocked them in their cradles and prayed they would grow up to be the lowest of the low, the scum de la scum in the political arena, and sell out their own and their country's best interests and futures for pennies on the posts. "Oh please, Lawd, let my little darling grow up to be a paid per post sell-out!"

Just to give you an idea, here are some of the guidelines for our posting in October:

1) Sexism. This was the biggest one we were supposed to push. We had to smear Bernie as misogynistic and out-of-touch with modern sensibilities. He was to be characterized as "an old white male relic that believed women enjoyed being gang raped". Anyone who tried to object to this characterization would be repeatedly slammed as sexist until they went away or people lost interest.

2) Racism. We were instructed to hammer home how Bernie supporters were all privileged white students that had no idea how the world worked. We had to tout Hillary's great record with "the blacks" (yes, that's the actual way it was phrased), and generally use racial identity politics to attack Sanders and bolster Hillary as the only unifying figure.

3) Electability. All of those posts about how Sanders can never win and Hillary is inevitable? Some of those were us, done deliberately in an attempt to demoralize Bernie supporters and convince them to stop campaigning for him. The problem is that this was an outright fabrication and not an accurate assessment of the current political situation. But the truth didn't matter - we were trying to create a new truth, not to spread the existing truth.

4) Dirty tactics. This is where things got really bad. We were instructed to create narratives of Clinton supporters as being victimized by Sanders supporters, even if they were entirely fabricated. There were different instructions about how to do it, but something like this (http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/10/31/1443064/-Dis-heartened-Hillary-Supporter) is a perfect example. These kind of posts are manufactured to divide and demoralize Sanders supporters, and are entirely artificial in nature. (The same thing happened in 2008, but it wasn't as noticeable before social media and public attention focused on popular forums like Reddit).

it should warrant mainstream media attention, as I think it reflects highly negatively on Hillary, if she has approved of these tactics.

I doubt she has broken any laws here, and yet the (alleged) fact that she pays supporters to fabricate stories, which make Bernie supporters look bad? That she would pay someone to lie--not about her opposition, but his supporters? It just reeks. And it speaks of someone who doesn't have a leg to stand on in regards to her positions on the issues.

I'm sure she has some sort of plausible deniability, and will claim no knowledge of such underhanded tactics being used by her campaign staff?

https://www.yahoo.com/tech/hillary-clinton-has-more-than-a-million-fake-127692268434.html

As far as the election goes, present numbers show Clinton and Trump well ahead of the pack in both presidential polling and Twitter followers — the real and the fake kind. So if we were to consider the size of a candidate’s Twitter following as a kind of crude proxy for political popularity or electability, then questions about what it means to have a large number of fake Twitter followers become even more fascinating.
What makes a Twitter follower fake?

We found out how abundant fake Twitter users are thanks to a site called TwitterAudit, which analyzes Twitter accounts and then tells you how many of that account’s followers are real and how many are fake. TwitterAudit isn’t the only service that does this. There’s also the StatusPeople site; unlike TwitterAudit, StatusPeople will show you who some of those fake users are, how many it considers actually fake and how many are just inactive.

But what, exactly, is a fake follower?

“Fake followers are a mix of inactive Twitter users (who signed up but never log on), completely fake users that are created for the sole purpose of following people, and spam bots that are programmatically set up to tweet ads and malicious content,” explained David Caplan, co-founder of TwitterAudit.
