WHAT'S TRUE: During a brief security lapse due to a bug on the part of third-party campaign information data company NGP VAN, four staffers from the Bernie Sanders campaign had unauthorized access to limited data pertaining to the Hillary Clinton campaign. The DNC has since pledged to restore the Sanders campaign's access to the voter files.
WHAT'S FALSE: The data were accessed over a lengthy period; the data were "exported" or otherwise extracted; the data were of high value to the Sanders campaign.
WHAT'S UNDETERMINED: What the staffers' intent in accessing the data was; whether the Clinton campaign engaged in similar activity during the 2008 campaign but was unsanctioned (as asserted in a suit filed by Sanders' campaign against the DNC); under precisely which circumstances the staffers accessed the information; the manner in which the proprietary software operated and the ease with which such data might be accessed deliberately or inadver

(4,805 posts)and I'm inclined to agree. There are a few especially clueless (and disproportionately loud) types around here lately who seem to come off time-out just long enough to stupid themselves right back into one.
Three or four candidates, minimum.

(6,440 posts)Due to its regard for communiss ideas like "facts" and "evidence", which turn you gay, as any real American knows. I don't know that Clinton Underground has swung *that* far to the right yet, but give it time.

(14,626 posts)The DNC is corrupt and it starts at the top with Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

(39,909 posts)DWS is merely a willing pawn in this especially nauseating piece of work.
She has been KNOWN to help Republicans and refusals to endorse DEMOCRATS in Florida since at least 2008 when she was Chair of the DNCs "Red to Blue Program"!!!
She is being PROMOTED for her behavior, which means she is pleasing her employers,
which means she isn't "incompetent" at all. She is doing EXACTLY what she is being PAID to do.
Some documented background information on Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Chair of the DNC.

There is so much BS and spin in the forums anymore I get seasick.

(8,267 posts)a compilation of some of Hillary's choice bon mots.
Well, Hillary's supporters don't appreciate this succinct video presentation of some of Hillary's lies misrepresentations.
There are a select few of Hillary's supporters herein who are insisting that we Bernie supporters are making excuses for this imbroglio about some of his staffers accessing Clinton's data. Never mind that this is clearly antithetical to who Bernie is, and how he rolls as a politician. Never mind that videos depicting multiples of Hillary's lies misrepresentations are ill-received by her supporters.
So, whenever I see these pitiable few attempting to broad brush Sanders' supporters, I like to counter with actual video of Hillary lying dissembling. I then ask, "how is it that she does this (repeatedly) and you give her a pass?"

(8,175 posts)four staffers did not have access. Two staffers did. And the data director created two new accounts to use in the process of trying to investigate the breach (or for ulterior purposexs, searched and copied lists of results).
I could also be wrong in this, but many articles out there indicate this. I have not yet seen one that proved four people were involved.

(11,366 posts)I don't mean the DNC's corruption and favoritism - that will still be apparent, but the issue of the data.
I don't think the DNC wants to take this to a federal judge and I think Michael Moore tweeted the reason why the best:

Hey media, report this: The reason the data breach fight got resolved is Hillary's ppl didn't want 2 answer questions under oath in a depo.
