(7,499 posts)In reading the email from HRC, I noticed she was asking supporters to chip in $1. Did it occur to anyone else that she is trying to stoke her numbers of contributions from small donors? Really, she wants people to chip in $1? Hillary? Please.
I know I'm really jaded where she's concerned, but this seems to be a blatant political campaign ploy on her part.

Her campaign is financed by the people she'll work for if elected. She only wants the $1 donation to falsely claim she has a base like Bernie.
Her message is a mile wide and paper thin.

(7,499 posts)Her campaign is pulling stupid stunts that will further alienate people and pump up Bernie's support. She's not a rookie, she should know better.
The next few months will be interesting.

(15,480 posts)Her latest pitch? Send me a dollar. . . .or $100,000
Her latest letter, featured elsewhere on DU, begs for One Dollar! So I guess she's skipping the free Ginzu knife offer - going for raising the number of individual donations/bringing down the average donation. Her last Manhattan soiree was $33,400 a head up to $100,000 a couple!
The event will take place on Dec. 17 in New York City, according to an invitation obtained by The Washington Post. About 100 people are expected to attend and tickets range from $33,400 for one person to $100,000 for a couple at the "event chair" level.
