Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumI went to a high school basketball game this morning
I parked in the lot next to a car with a Bernie sticker on it. I went in to watch the game. My team won. They made two free shots with .6 seconds left on the clock to win by 2.
On the way out I was talking to a couple of the cheerleaders about the game. One turned to go to her car. Yep. Has the Bernie sticker on it. I said I've got one on my car too. Then I remembered I had my shirt on. I opened my jacket while saying I've got my shirt on too.
She said something about this will be her first caucus and is excited about it. I said I've met Bernie and have pictures to prove it. We talked some more. I brought up my souvenir water bottle. Blah blah blah.
I just found it strange a high schooler was so excited about Bernie running for POTUS.

(1,024 posts)My 17-year old niece supports Bernie, and it's NOT something she learned from her parents (who are Clinton supporters).
By the time it's election day, she will be eighteen, and Bernie Sanders will be the first candidate she ever votes for. I'm a proud uncle.
It sure seems that there are lots of smart young people out there.

(51,907 posts)--vote next November. I am delighted that they aren't letting that stop them from helping in every other way. And with climate change and banksters to deal with, we are going to need every single one of them.
