Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumWe should be kind to Hillary supporters
Most of them supported her in 2008. The past month has been triggering for them. They know Hillary is a nasty and poor campaigner when under pressure. They remember how badly she plans for the future. They have watched her arrogance and hubris lead her to defeat.
Those painful memories are coming back. The hurt they felt when an upstart stole her nomination from her. It stung. It was my supposed to happen again. It was really her turn this time.
They've waited 8 years and this time should have been easy.

(13,877 posts)I do feel for them...and for her. Seriously, she's second on my sig line, and if Bernie doesn't make it, she's next in line. But in the meantime, she's got too many negatives to lead the pack.

(5,069 posts)I would like to add a few PS's
We haven't won as yet and the powerful hate to lose....so I'm not counting my chickens until Bernie is nominated. Just yesterday, there were concerns about the Andrea Mitchell conversations on air with Harold Ford and Ed Rendell about bringing in a Clinton pinch hitter. I would put nothing past the Clinton team vis a vis Rovesquery. Glen Greenwald -even with Sanders' high numbers apparent in NH - said in an Intercept article this week that he considered a Clinton nomination 'extremely likely' that Hillary would win the primary.
We need to follow Senator Sanders gracious and 'class act' examples when we are around our Clinton colleagues on DU and on the campaign trail....A very astute Sanders staffer told me back in September that we were going to win but that we would need all of the Clinton camp come the General Election in November.
Having said the above, I repeatedly have to watch my tongue as well as my keyboard...

(2,352 posts)there's treatment for that, and it's not the job of this website to provide it.
It's not Her arrogance and hubris that I object to, it's her supporters'.

(9,497 posts)It was the dismissiveness that irked me.
I came in with a general intolerance of her, I am leaving with a deep animosity towards her.
