Warren makes headway in three new polls
Three new polls show Sen. Elizabeth Warren's (D-Mass.) support in the Democratic primary growing, offering some new hope for her presidential campaign.
Quinnipiac University's national survey of the 2020 presidential race released Tuesday showed Warren as the top choice for 12 percent of the Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters asked.
That second-place finish, behind former Vice President Joe Biden, is a significant jump from Quinnipiac's poll released March 28, which had Warren in fifth, polling at just 4 percent.
A CNN-SSRS poll released Tuesday had Warren polling at 8 percent, in third place, doubling her support from 4 percent in its poll last month.
A Morning Consult survey released Tuesday also showed Warren in third place, polling at 9 percent, 2 points higher than on March 31, and placing the senator slightly ahead of South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg (D), former Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-Texas) and Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.).
All three candidates were ahead of Warren in the previous Morning Consult poll.

(2,272 posts)Ms. Warren is my choice of course but over and above that she's a FIGHTER! Something the Democratic party sorely needs imho. Have been a little discouraged by her relatively low polling numbers and am overjoyed to see this rise.

(37,648 posts)while she's been in the Senate.
She's not the warmest, fuzziest candidate around, but I think she's gotten much better relating to people and getting her message across. She had, IMO, a tendency to seem high-strung, and be maybe too serious and focused and even unhappy. Politicking is about people skills, when it comes down to it.
I didn't like her at all before. I have taken notice of her lately, though. I don't like some (most?) of her programs, but plans of these candidates change or get tossed aside or never have a chance of getting passed, anyway.
I don't see her beating Trump, though.

with the exception of Bernie who has killed his chances over giving incarcerated felons the vote.
The question is who can win the biggest? Who can help take back the Senate?
Trump won 2016 on wafer thin margins. Every poll , every survey says hes gone backwards since then and not just by a little either. Look at the Midterms.
If electability is only three states, we are missing big opportunities. Whats wrong with starting . now . on the biggest turnout in recent history?
