Democratic Primaries

I am glad he did not ignore what Cynthia Nixon said.. But addressed it in full.. I appreciate that so much. I am up to my eyebrows with those who refuse to apologize when they make a mistake and would rather double down on what ever they said.

(10,839 posts)there's no such animal. Every single Dem candidate is going to have 'something' that will be nitpicked and criticized and turned over ad infinitum.
Short of some criminal flaw, the offending wart is not as important as how the candidate responds, how quick they are to correct, to think on their feet, etc. We're seeing this already: Biden's Pence comment, Klobuchar's mean girl status, Harris' career as a prosecutor, Warren's DNA stumble, Booker's Wall Street connections, etc.
So far, I think Biden, Harris and Booker have handled the slings and arrows exceptionally well. But it's early in the game and there's all manner of stuff that'll get thrown to knock our candidates off balance. Our job is to watch and listen carefully during the pre-primary and primary season. Because whatever gets lobbed now will increase exponentially during the general election. Whoever can take every punch and keep on keeping on is the candidate I'll ultimately support. Because winning in 2020 is everything.
I have my favorites but I'm still waiting.
