trade school debt, and Warren's program would transfer all debt to taxpayers paid by that tax on the very wealthy.

Then I tried a grad school debt of $100K and income of $75K, and $50K would be wiped out.

One important result of ANY amount of student loan debt transfer would be economic stimulus and mostly younger people/families had the means to spend locally and invest for the future.

primary today, I would vote for:

Warren deserves so much credit for raising the crippling student debt issue AND offering a viable solution.

I can't tell you how many young people I know that are saddled with crippling student debt due in a large part to predatory lending policies.

Young single moms, desperate to improve their lives take out loans for on-line degrees and then just can't finish the degree due to immense job and family demands on their time. Can they declare bankruptcy and get out from under this? Nope. ALL THE RISK of this loan is placed on the borrower, who has to keep paying and paying. Lenders saw this as a pretty safe and extremely lucrative revenue stream and gave out loans to people they damn well knew probably would not finish their degrees. Also, "private on line colleges" rope in students, and fleece them for their loans ALSO knowing the students probably will never get a degree.

The banks make money, the "private on-line colleges" make money, the poor working stiff gets saddled with life long debt.

as President.

She has already proven that she can push legislation from the Senate, but as President she would have too many distractions and other battles to concentrate on things like this.

Of course, I could be wrong.

We shall see.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
