Elizabeth Warren says "I'm sorry. I followed Pence's history on LGBTQ Americans..."

Iowa Starting Line @IAStartingLine
Asked about Biden’s “decent man” comment on Pence, Warren says “I’m sorry. I followed Pence’s history on LGBTQ Americans, and I don’t think that is a decent position. I disagree.”

Reporter: “You don’t think the Vice President is a decent man?”

Warren: “No”

1:04 PM - 2 Mar 2019

(...she's not giving Joe's recast of his remarks a lot of notice here)

Iowa Starting Line @IAStartingLine
FYI, the reporter followed up: "Do you think there’s anybody in the Trump Administration that you would see as decent?"

Elizabeth Warren's response:

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Mike Pence is not a decent man. He is a twisted "Christian" who thrives on cruelty.

As much as one would like to blame Biden for saying what he said, the fact is, the wider culture holds the view that one can be a decent person and treat gays like Pence does and has held this view for pretty much ever. I have long advocated for the standard Warren is setting here, but I am not certain that will be the standard anytime soon.

Holds up the idea that being oppressive is normal and acceptable. Far too many don’t get that extremely simple concept and how it has always played into the hand of oppressors.
