From the way you phrase the question, it seems obvious that you prefer the first one, which is made to sound moderate and healing, over the second one which sounds extreme and divisive

Survey questions are considered “biased” if they serve to prompt the respondent to answer in a specific way, preferentially answering in one direction rather than the other.

In this case, no one is going to pick the second answer, thus skewing results to the first.

do you think want to pour salt in our nations wounds? I for one think we have some damned good candidates and the majority of them "will" help heal the wounds, not pour salt in them.
