Biden confronts activist on reproductive justice

This is a twitter post accompanied by an unflattering photo, looks like an ambush narrated by a Biden opponent, so take it with a grain of salt. But if it's true, this is NOT a good look for Biden

?s=19

Told Biden we need someone stronger on reproductive justice, and after his reversal on the Hyde Amendment, we asked him to protect assault survivors. He said “nobody has spoken about it, done more, or changed more than I have”. I told him we deserve better.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

That's the point. Joe doesn't just like people, he likes men AND women. He has lots of friends who are women. Sanders doesn't.

It's a huge difference in character and up to each of us to decide what it means to us. I'm a woman. I like men who enjoy being with whatever gender. No accident that I married one.

And huge NO to fingers wagged in my face, not that I can recall anyone ever being that rude to me. One did turn the back of his chair to me at a banquet table, but notably, the man he turned toward punished him by then chatting past him to me. These behaviors are boorish and not respectable.

for several decades now and has excellent social skills. I shouldn't have said he would never do that literally, since he did, but that it's not "him," very unlike another person for whom rudeness is common, even signature behavior.

Speaking of, you wouldn't see Biden physically pushing past a senator in her 80s even though where they were walking the one who did had plenty of room to avoid physical contact so that one wonders why on earth he didn't. Just feeling cranky? The end of the little video where the senator swats at his back to indicate her opinion is actually funny. (Btw, if they ever really got into it, my money'd be on her.)

right now polls are nothing but name recognition. Jimmy Carter was at 1% right now in the race he won. Beto is exactly where he wants to be...an incredible army of grassroots volunteers who have been out canvassing for 2 months, growing every day and being quite foolishly underestimated by others who place blind faith in the same flawed polls that said Trump would never win.

Biden is not a bad guy but he is one of the sloppiest campaigners there ever has been. He isn't anywhere near as "safe" as many think. Obama was safe. Biden is not Obama. It is what it is.

Democratic presidential contender Beto O’Rourke has acknowledged making mistakes as a teen and as a candidate as he responded to criticism of his campaign rhetoric toward his wife as well as writings he produced online when he was young.
During a taping of the Political Party Live podcast in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he addressed criticism of his campaign-trail joke that his wife, Amy, has raised their three kids “sometimes with my help”.
O’Rourke made the comment at multiple campaign stops during his first swing through Iowa, eliciting laughs each time, but he also drew criticism as being insensitive to the challenges faced by single parents raising children.
O’Rourke said the criticism of his “ham-handed” attempt to highlight his wife’s work in their marriage was “right on”.
“Not only will I not say that again, but I will be much more thoughtful in the ways that I talk about my marriage,” he said.

You're just dwelling on anything negative regarding Joe Biden. He's had a long distinguished career and your word "sloppy" has nothing to do with it.

No one said Ever said that Biden is President Obama. But, right now he has a steady lead.. especially with African Americans and Women.. so excuse us if we want to support him for his qualifications and his experience that are reflected in the current polls.

Biden’s double-digit lead over Trump is largely driven by the gender gap. The former vice president edges Trump 47 percent to 46 among men. But among women, Biden leads by 26 points, 60 to 34.

At least my comments are actually related to the topic and as a woman I DO find that photo unsettling. It could be in part because I was physically abused, beaten and raped and I am more bothered by something that was done to me as an effort to intimidate me into submission and silence. The photo actually made me feel nauseous. My remarks on this issue are 100% genuine to how I feel and for comments to be made about Beto simply because I am bothered by the photo in the OP is ridiculous.

We haven't even had our first debate, and the mud is flying. Wait until a candidate does a finger wag to another one on a debate stage.

This process of winnowing down to a single nominee is not going to be a pretty one. The eventual nominee is going to get bloodied from "friendly fire" along the way.

Late and I have to go. Fact is not all woman have their thoughts/ideals in the right place.

I will leave you with this:

Thousands rally for third annual Women's March across U.S.

snip

Controversy over alleged anti-Semitism
This year's march has been roiled by an intense ideological debate.

In November, Teresa Shook, one of the Women's March founders, accused the four main leaders of the national march organization of anti-Semitism. The accusation was leveled at two primary leaders: Linda Sarsour, who has criticized Israeli policy, and Tamika Mallory, who has maintained an association with Louis Farrakhan, leader of Nation of Islam, which the Southern Poverty Law Center considers a hate group.

In a Facebook post, Shook claimed Sarsour and Mallory, along with fellow organizers Bob Bland and Carmen Perez, had "steered the Movement away from its true course" and called for all four to step down.

https://www.cbsnews.com/live-news/womens-march-2019-01-19-washington-dc-nyc-boston-protest-signs-pro-life-live-stream-updates-today/

Hate and bigotry was not/ is not what the women's march was about. Their embrace of Farrakhan does not belong in the women's march. It sure as hell was not what I marched for.

Wed Jun 12, 2019, 11:09 AM
Jun 2019

You can see her during the ENTIRE speech. Her account is that she expressed that we need a candidate that protects women. He responded that no one else is talking about it and no one has done more than him. She said we can do better. That is when he pointed in her face and she said his tone changed, he went to grab her arm with his free hand and made some comment about VAWA. She updated and clarified what happened after she was being ATTACKED by Biden supporters. Initially she did NOT mention most of what she says happened. If her goal was to smear him she would have given those details from the beginning. I hope a video of the actual interaction comes out to get a better understanding of the full interaction. Whatever the case, pointing like that just invited this kind of photo. He's so careless and that seriously worries me if he is the nominee.

You can see how happy she is with her silly tactics by that repulsive smirk on her face in the photo she posted.

She shows her own idiocy, though, not just in using these tactics, but in her not understanding WHY he brought up the Violence Against Women Act.

He brought up VAWA for no apparent reason and then turned his back on us. I shouted that after him.

Eiher she's too dumb to know Biden was responsible for the Violence Against Women Act, or she's so dumb she thinks it's irrelevant after she's brought up the subject of assault survivors.

The more ignorant you are, the louder you scream and complain. And they miss the goal they are supposedly trying to achieve.

Also, as this person finally gets some Twitter fame, 7 hours after the original tweet, it's suddenly followed up with: "For a hot sec I thought he was going to hit me." Now, that is a clear sign of a bs artist milking an event. So yeah, those here who are jumping in with joy to attack Biden based on the account of such a personality, just know that it's telling and speaks for itself.

She posted a still photo and, in this new tweet you linked to, a GIF that endlessly replays just a second or two of their encounter, where her smirk shows how happy she is that he doesn't like what she's saying.

NO AUDIO, let alone full audio and video of their encounter, which I supsect would make it clear that she was doing her best to antagonize him.

She even stupidly whines on Twitter that "for some reason" he brought up the Violence Against Women Act when she brought up the subject of assault survivors. She makes it clear she wouldn't listen to him pointing out what he's done.

The twit is either unaware that Biden was responsible for the VAWA, or she thinks it's irrelevant to a discussion of what Biden's done to help assault survivors.

Who knows....

"If you EVER say anything like that about my religion..."
"How DARE you accuse me of that...."
"Don't you EVER touch me ever again...."

But with RW asshats like James O'Keefe and Daniel Daleiden running around constantly trying to make Dems look bad with 'gotcha' footage I tend to view incidents like this as a set up until otherwise proven.
