I just checked- ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX (not news) PBS are not listing either debate.

We don't have cable or satellite TV only over the air (broadcast). Someone posted a site, Streamfair.com that lets me stream CNN, MSNBC and FAUXSNOOZE. It tends to drop out for some reason, not just buffering. This requires reloading the page to get it to start again. I only have this problem with live content.

Anyway what's the deal with broadcast TV not showing the debates?

Edit: I just rechecked TitanTV again and they have the debates listed for 8 PM CDT. Titan tends to be slow in listings.

3. Broadcast rights remain with the sponsor of the debate...

On Wednesday, June 26, the first Democratic primary debate will be broadcast on NBC News, MSNBC and Telemundo, from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern. The second debate will air the following night.

How can I watch the debate?

The debates will be available to watch on NBC, MSNBC, and Telemundo at 9 p.m. on both nights and will be available to stream for free on NBCNews.com, MSNBC.com, and the NBC News app, as well as all Telemundo digital platforms, marking the first time a Spanish-language channel will host a Democratic presidential debate.

I use https://livenewschat.eu/politics/ to get MSNBC.

How many Mbps are you signed up for under your plan? When I was only getting 3 Mbps the livestreams would buffer as you mentioned. When we jumped to 12 Mbps it resolved most of the problems with livestreams. If you have more than one device on your router for WiFi, then you might want to turn it off to see if it results in less buffering.

7. I believe the DNC has given exclusive rights to NBC/MSNBC and even CSpan
Sun Jun 23, 2019, 08:10 PM
Jun 2019

has been excluded. Just like the DNC barred CSpan from the SC Dem convention held the other day. It’s the first time CSpan was ever excluded. Telemundo will air it in Spanish.

It’s sad to me, particularly that DNC is selling tickets to the debate rather than offering them to the community. Tickets are priced out of the range of ordinary citizens at $1750-4500. Other tickets are going to donors and other high level Dem leadership people The DNC web page has a form you can fill out to ask for tickets but says probably won’t be able to accommodate requests.

9. Care to provide a cite? Where are you getting your information? From a meme?

I looked for an article that said DNC is selling tickets to the debate, and couldn't find anything.

What I did find is that the venue holds 2,200 people, local Democratic Party leaders can go to one of the two nights if they choose, and a pool of tickets was left to the university for distribution to faculty and staff. Some people have been invited to attend.

2,200 seats is not a lot for an event like this.

The DNC is raffling off a pair of tickets through the democrats.org website, too.

Sorry you have a sad. Maybe you'll feel better now that I've given you accurate information.

For $4,500, a sponsor gets two tickets to a pre-debate reception on June 26 and two tickets to both debate nights. For $3,000, a sponsor will get the two tickets to the reception and two tickets for one of the debate nights, though it is unclear if the person gets to pick which night. A $1,750 donation to the party covers one ticket to the reception and one ticket for a single debate night.

Hell even the article you cited says

The Democratic Party’s website has a form you can fill out to request tickets, though its disclaimer warns that “due to limited seating and extreme interest, most requests will not be possible to accommodate.” A Democratic staffer who recently spoke with Florida Democratic Party chair Terrie Rizzo said the tickets will be distributed through some sort of lottery, but details were hazy.

I know that fundraising is necessary, but this doesn't seem the right way to go about it.

There's no way they could open seating to everyone who wants to go. A 2,200 seat auditorium isn't that big.

Still, charging for tickets and calling them sponsorships isn't a good look.

Unless you think the DNC should rent a football stadium, "the community" won't be able to attend, other than symbolically. That's why it's on TV. Even the candidates are offering their ticket allotments as raffle prizes for contributors.

FWIW - In 2016, I was able to get tix to the Clinton-Sanders and Clinton-Trump debates for "free", based on my connections to the campaign and my previous contributions to the DNC.
