Hickenlooper: Fracking is Good for Our Environment

Governor Hickenlooper Agrees: Fracking is Good for Colorado

In his memoir, Governor Hickenlooper says he supports safe and responsible oil and natural gas production in Colorado. He recognizes that the economy and security of both our state and country rely on fracking. Governor Hickenlooper writes:

Based on experience and science, I recognized that fracking was one of our very best and safest extraction techniques. Fracking is good for the country’s energy supply, our national security, our economy, and our environment.

Governor Hickenlooper recognizes that fracking provides thousands of jobs, more than one billion dollars in tax revenue, and clean energy to Colorado. He also writes that fracking is one of the safest oil and natural gas extraction techniques available to our state:

I knew that the innovations in technology, everything from the hydraulic fracking systems to the fluid, had become so advanced that it was a remarkably safe extraction method.

‘Fracking is good for our environment’? How much fracking is going on in Colorado?

I’ve sure enjoyed the earthquakes in my fracked up State not to mention the pumping of hundreds of millions of gallons of fracking fluid into the ground, and the criminal waste of freshwater resources during the entire disgusting process. Between this and his 80s era world view on cannabis law reform I’m putting him in the “last resort” tier along with Bernie and Gillibrand.

Yeah. Sorry to hear this. About fracking and the cannabis issue too. Looks like he just moved to the “I’ll vote for him if I have to” column (where Bernie and Gillibrand both are, for me as well).

Well, well, well, that's certainly a different perspective/strategy.

Only I don't think those lines play well in Democratic circles. Might be good for the GOP.

Democrats? Not so much.

then reinjecting the godawful (and secret) results of that proprietary process back into the breach, is NOT good for our home. Period.

It's the last and only home we'll ever be able to live in. Ever.

See ya, Governor.
