I find the debates depressing...

...not because of their substance or the people involved, but because I think future historians will see the beginning of the debates as marking the end of the era when people had any hope that the rule of law or due process would contain people like Donald Trump. Whether it's possible to have a legitimate election in such a reality is unknown. We will find out.

With all those folks up there it just reinforced a game show vibe. Does anyone remember College Bowl? That's what I was reminded of. I understand elections are a contest (of ideas), but it shouldn't be a "CONTEST".

But I can’t. It’s more than just a serious concern. We might be looking at something that people aren’t ready for. So unbelievable that it will shock us to our core. The stage has been set well. Many of the players they have in position would be more than willing to assist. How Aaron Nevis wasn’t a huge story was a shock to me. They are bold.

There are too many kids in the playground trying to best each other on issues that very well might not matter when the winner is up against Trump and his minions.

Not equal and opposite, this isn’t theoretical physics. But we can look to the midterms and get very different, much more uplifting and encouraging, messages from the one depressing some.

We are already a majority, overset only by the electoral college and certain other interventions, including corrupted media, but the midterms showed that more people are waking up to the danger and reality of what is happening.

The reactions.

Imo, in this era this shouldn’t have been called a debate and that itself lead to letdown, which shouldn’t be. It’s mostly the candidates introducing themselves to the people, and that is as it should be. I believe restyling the first one’s stated purpose would uplift it tremendously, Shifting focus to the candidates as they speak, rather than some reality TV entertainment program pitting them against each other, which should not be, not yet when people don’t even know who they are.

But we need to not be influenced by this misstyling ourselves.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
