But women have been elected as leaders around the world, even in places supposedly less "advanced" than we are. I think we should not worry too much about the gender of the candidate, whomever it is, that we decide is our best candidate. However, it does take charisma and "that special something", something that is difficult to quantify, to win more that a narrow victory.

Hillary was more than qualified to be president. And she won a narrow victory, but given our Electoral College that was not enough. But she did not lose because she was a woman, she lost because she did not have that special something. During the debates, I made a list of the candidates who had it. Kamala is on that list, near the top.

And let's say Harris, Warren, Biden, and Bernie make it that far. What happens when the votes are cast? Harris and Warren split the Indivisible vote, the three of them split the abolish-ACA vote, and Warren and Harris split the pro-busing vote if there is such a thing, which I sort of doubt.

That leaves the lion's share if not the majority to Joe. Depending on how the delegates are assigned, he gets all or most from each state including CA until he's over the top. Which will probably be on Super Tuesday.

So the chances are very good that we'll keep our 3 wonderful senators in the senate whatever it might look like now.
