But in a just released poll of voters in Iowa, not a single person out of 500 people surveyed choose Swalwell as their candidate. He polled a flat out 0%.

I don't see him having a chance of breaking out.

It is a shame. But, he can stay in Congress for now. He is still in his 30's, he has a long career ahead of him.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I'm as surprised as he probably is that his good media presence for the past year or so didn't give him more of a boost.

I like Swalwell as a person but there are far too many great candidates in the field for him to compete at this stage

His debate performance was terrible and he should focus on being a Congressman for now and try again, later.

He has had some over the top statements (particularly on guns) that just don't help us and feed right into the far right's paranoia.

And as they are a critical part of our political investment in the future, I hope their loss doesn't discourage them from further participation as they mature and become more experienced.

I know very little about him. He seemed to be well-spoken and reasonable at the debate, though.

With such a crowded field, it takes a long time to build a brand to take on well-known candidates and those with the x-factor.

...is that someone dropping out now will be seen as a failure of sorts and it couldn’t further from the truth. Going forward, Congress will be the most consequential it has probably ever been and Swalwell will be an important voice for Dems.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
