(40,212 posts)But in a just released poll of voters in Iowa, not a single person out of 500 people surveyed choose Swalwell as their candidate. He polled a flat out 0%.
I don't see him having a chance of breaking out.
It is a shame. But, he can stay in Congress for now. He is still in his 30's, he has a long career ahead of him.

With such a crowded field, it takes a long time to build a brand to take on well-known candidates and those with the x-factor.

(11,811 posts)...is that someone dropping out now will be seen as a failure of sorts and it couldnt further from the truth. Going forward, Congress will be the most consequential it has probably ever been and Swalwell will be an important voice for Dems.
