Biden beats Trump by 10 points in new ABC/WaPo poll - 8 points better than any other

Democratic candidate...and 16 points better than a generic Democratic candidate regarded as a socialist.

Biden has 53 percent support in the Washington Post/ABC News poll, compared to Trump’s 43 percent. Just 3 percent are undecided.

Trump also lags behind Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) by 2 points, 48 to 46 percent, and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) by 1 point, 49 to 48 percent.

Pollsters found the president tied with Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and South Bend, Ind. Mayor Buttigieg.

Trump, however, leads a generic “Democratic candidate who you regard as a socialist” by 6 points, 49 to 43 percent.

This is the most recent poll I know of that indicates how much the "socialist" label could hurt Democrats, in comparison to how the individual candidates do against Trump in the same poll.

Because defeating Trump is paramount. This poll shows he has the best chance, at least as of now. I actually prefer further left policies than Biden’s but that is secondary.

I will say one thing about the “socialist” label. Republicans will try and label all our candidates, Biden included, as a socialist.

The MOST important thing in 2020 -- GET TE ORANGE ASSHOLE OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!

IMO, the way to do it? A Biden-Harris ticket. I do believe this is a winner and with an additional benefit: It sets up Kamala to succeed Joe in the WH.

Biden is riding the Obama wave. The rest are not well known. It’s more amazing that the others are beating Trump before we even know how great they are.

It means that Trump is in a stronger position than we would like and that if we are overconfident, he will beat us without any help of the Russians.

Until then, they remain meaningless.

Yeah... we've heard it again and again. Allegations lacking any evidence to support them, vague implications that 'now' is without meaning.

Only some, ill-defined, future polling will finally mean something and have validity... but that future date is never objectively set... as that would be inconvenient to the narrative.

I think Warren has the greatest chance to change how the electorate thinks if she is elected, so I am supporting her as #1. But winning is the most important tactic, and if Biden polls this well, especially in the Rustbelt then he may be the best candidate.
