She will only end up alienating voters that Sanders needs. Why she has been given such a public position is a very questionable decision. During 2016, nearly every time I saw her on television the interview ended badly with either raised voices or at the very least cutting sarcasm.

Bernie Sanders’s new political group won’t have to disclose its donors

https://sunlightfoundation.com/2016/08/26/bernie-sanderss-new-political-group-wont-have-to-disclose-its-donors/

501(c)(4): Also known as “dark money groups,” these make up some of the most relevant political nonprofits today. Technically deemed “social welfare organizations,” these groups can’t have political activity — such as making ads advocating for or against candidates — as their “primary purpose”; this has unofficially been interpreted to mean they must spend less than 50 percent of their activities on politics or elections.

But they can raise unlimited amounts of cash from individuals and organizations alike — without having to disclose who contributed that money. date (an independent expenditure) or make electioneering communications must report that to the FEC.

Tad Devine, a long-time Democratic operative who had worked on Sanders’ Senate campaigns and his 2016 presidential run, is not expected to join the 2020 effort, several sources told The Daily Beast, though his firm is working for Sanders and he himself could potentially help out later in the campaign. Devine, who had a falling out with several campaign aides in 2016 and who has been ensnared in legal drama related to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe of foreign influence peddling, did not return a request for comment.

“Even if he had a crisis of conscience, Devine’s employment history had relatively little effect on his professional standing, allowing him to eventually earn more than $10 million working for Sanders, to the chagrin of the Democratic Socialist’s supporters.”

https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2018/07/bernie-sanders-strategist-tad-devine-paul-manafort-files-mueller

“Old Towne’s income from the Sanders campaign has not been disclosed, but the industry standard for ad buy commissions is 15 percent. Based on that formula, the firm could have made $12 million.

Devine — whose company has received more than $5 million to create ads for Sanders’ primary campaign — told the Post that he had an additional source of income from the Sanders campaign: a percentage of the ad buys. Devine said he split a commission with Old Towne Media. The exact amount is unclear; the Post reported that he was “splitting a single-digit-percentage commission” with Old Towne.”

We need Sander’s voice and issues and ideas. He has a lot to offer to the Democratic Party Platform as he received so many votes in the primaries. Give those people a voice. I would vote today for Elizabeth Warren, her ideas are supported by Sanders. The stomping all over Sanders is not helping our party.

much more. Many accomplishments, and she is excellent at detailed policy proposals. She is also quite good at getting under Trump’s skin, she had him melting down a lot in 2016 when she was a surrogate.

I was thinking Bernie wouldn’t run this time and would instead endorse Senator Warren.

Of course, JMHO. YMMV

Will be an interesting primary, that is for sure!

"Earlier this week, Sanders made waves with his campaign manager pick. On Tuesday, the Daily Beast reported that Sanders had hired Faiz Shakir, the national political director of the American Civil Liberties Union, for the top post. Shakir is likely to be the first Muslim American to head a major presidential campaign.

The campaign has also retained Analilia Mejia, the state director of New Jersey Working Families, as its national political director, and Sarah Badawi, the government affairs director of the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, as its deputy political director."

At this point it's mainly interesting to me that no new, shiny, (and younger) populist leader has arisen and pushed him off the stage yet. I really guessed one would by now.

Turner's kind of fun to hear about. Sanders tried to make use of troublemakers like Turner and Gabbard before, after they soiled their nests elsewhere, but he refused to bring them into his inner group and poison his operation.

Will he be able to placate and control this CO-chair long enough to peel a few conservative or otherwise dissident black voters away from their bloc? Sanders is not exactly great at working with women anyway, and this one is ... what she is. I'm guessing that CO- already means trouble.
