Of course, being in first place is still a good place to be!

Still, looking at same poll, previous to newest...

Biden's gone from 33 to 27
Sanders has stayed steady at 20
Warren has gone from 17 to 18
Buttigieg dropped from 10 to 7
Harris went up from 7 to 12

Kind of interesting what happened at the bottom, too...

O'Rourke went from 4% to 2%
Booker went from 3% to 1%
Gabbard went from nothing to 2%

It will be interesting to see which trends continue, stagnate, or reverse after the next debate.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

losing in her own backyard... polls - point to a Biden nomination particularly the ones that show over 70% of People think Biden can beat Trump. People want to win this year more than usual because of the monster in chief. I don't mean to offend anyone but I think Biden has the best chance to win the states we need in order to kick Trump to the curb and maybe the Hague.

I agree Biden is the obvious frontrunner, and that the perception of his strong ability to beat Trump is a big part of that. (Which is why I asked in a DU poll a while back, what would Biden supporters do if, on primary voting day, some other candidate was being seen as having a better chance at beating Trump than Biden. Yeah, it's a small and totally unscientific poll, but with all the focus on beating Trump as job one, I was surprised that about 3/4 of the responders said they wouldn't necessarily switch to the stronger-against-Trump candidate... point being it's clearly not the ONLY criteria people are basing their choice on).

But these numbers can be tricky to evaluate. The poll you linked to shows that 75% felt that Biden would probably beat Trump (and 98% felt he at least had a reasonable shot), which is great (and beats everyone else's numbers)... but read the fine print, that question was only asked of people who were considering voting for Biden in the first place. So anyone who was not considering voting for him--perhaps because they felt he would likely lose to Trump--weren't surveyed for this question!

So yeah, we know that 98% of people considering voting for Biden feel he has at least a reasonable shot at beating Trump... but similarly 92%-93% of people considering Sanders, Harris, or Warren feel that way about their choices.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
