Biden picks up key CBC endorsement

A senior member of the Congressional Black Caucus endorsed Joe Biden on Monday, giving the former vice president his sixth endorsement from the influential group.

Texas Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson is backing Biden, citing her “firsthand” view of his “commitment to getting real work done on behalf of all Americans.”

Now, our nation is at a crossroads,” she said in a statement obtained by POLITICO. “We, more than ever, need a leader who can bring people together and get our country back on the right track. This is why I am proud to endorse my friend, Joe Biden, for president of the United States.”

Johnson chairs the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee. Her support follows that of fellow CBC members Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-Del.), Dwight Evans (D-Pa.), Al Lawson (D-Fla.), Donald McEachin (D-Va.) and Cedric Richmond (D-La.), a former CBC chairman and Biden’s campaign co-chair.

If I were to vote in a presidential

Joe Biden

Obama is consistent: he is well liked and remembered. He has deep ties within the party. He is committed to helping others.

Those trying to dismiss Biden’s work as VP are only trying to eliminate him and are only fooling themselves.

Biden's full quote, with sarcasm at the end, about why people thought @KamalaHarris came off stronger in the first debate: "I was probably overly polite in the way I didn't respond to an attack, 'You're not a racist'--which is a nice thing to say, really reassuring."

WASHINGTON — Jill Biden says the American people ‘‘didn’t buy’’ any insinuation during the Democratic presidential debate that her husband, former Vice President Joe Biden, is racist.

Biden and California Sen. Kamala Harris are neck and neck in endorsements from the 55-member group, though Harris has a slight edge. Freshman Rep. Jahana Hayes (D-Conn.) became Harris’ seventh endorsement, writing in Essence earlier this month that Harris’ clash with Biden over busing in June’s debate “resonated with me.”

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/451476-harris-adds-endorsement-from-7th-congressional-black-caucus-member

Rep. Jahana Hayes (D-Conn.) on Wednesday endorsed Sen. Kamala Harris's presidential bid, becoming the seventh Congressional Black Caucus member to throw her support behind the California Democrat.

With seven months to go before the first primary votes are cast, most CBC members are still undecided, including powerful and influential lawmakers like Financial Services Committee Chairwoman Maxine Waters of California, House Oversight Chairman Elijah Cummings of Maryland, Majority Whip James Clyburn of South Carolina and civil rights icon John Lewis of Georgia.

Last election I cleaned them out of my feed when they became too irritating, along with most of the bots and trolls come to make them sound more like 80%.

And remember, most of these "loyalists" have actually been looking for a new far-left leader who'll smite and purge "establishment" Democrats since 2016, 2012, 2008, 2004, 2000, .... 1936, 1932, 1928... They want to back a winner just as much as the trumpsters do but are still waiting.

Bless their hearts.
