Here's what is going on: CNN is framing questions to get the candidates to fight.

This is BS.

CNN is giving Ryan and Delaney so much time because Ryan and Delaney will attack the leaders: Bernie and Warren.

Just now, Tapper invited Ryan to attack Klobuchar.
Before that, Tapper invited Delaney to attack Warren; she was invited to respond; he was invited to respond, then the moderators moved on.

The DNC should have not used CNN to moderate. Especially these debates in August. This is horrible.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

Half the candidates on stage need to have some level of clash just to get to the next level. If they come out of this debate without some reason for coverage... they're almost done before they even get started.

CNN's motivation is at least as clear. Ratings.

all the losers in the polls are attempting to bring in a front runner so they can get tv time.

Our front runners, all of them shouldn't engage in this stupidity. Act like a boss and dismiss them.

11. CNN is for-profit infotainment.
Tue Jul 30, 2019, 10:29 PM

CNN is run by Republican executives.
CNN did a lot to get Trump elected by airing his rallies and airing Jeff Lord.
CNN is not on our side. We should treat them cautiously. (Sadly much of the above is true for MSNBC too except they have a few actually liberal show hosts.)

That said DO NOT think that I think they are worse than Fox. CNN is for-profit infotainment. But Fox is propaganda. Propaganda run by Rupert Murdoch to lie to white Americans to get them to vote for tax cuts for Murdoch. The thing I am sad about tonight is that no candidate called out Fox as propaganda.

Ps one of my many threads about Fox:

with Trump. If the Dem nominee, whoever it is, comes out of the primary undamaged, and Trump remains unhinged, there is a chance this thing looks like a landslide in the making, and there go the ratings/ad revenues...
