Chris Hayes agrees completely with what this says about the meaning of Marianne Williamson

in last night's debate.

From Tim Miller, one of a group of opinions compiled in a single article by Politico:

Don’t Sleep on Buttigieg and—Amazingly—Williamson

-snipping paragraphs on why Warren and Buttigieg did well-

Besides Williamson fever, not much has changed. I think there's a yearning among Trump haters for someone to speak to the darkness that he has brought to the political debate, the country and, in many cases, their neighborhoods and families—without getting bogged down in the drivel of politics or friendly-fire feuds. She does that, obviously in a unique and kind of kooky way. But the concept is available to all of them. And I think if someone else spoke with a third of the passion and earnestness about Trump's hatefulness that she does, they would benefit.

Chris Hayes, last night:

Completely agree with this take

To which Josh Barro responded that "There is a candidate in the race who is doing this. His name is Joe Biden."

Hayes is definitely not a Biden fan. MSNBC in general has not been favorable to Biden.

But three years ago, after Biden's speech at the Democratic National Convention, Rachel Maddow made statements about Biden that shows she would certainly have agreed with Barro then, even if she probably has a different primary preference.

I posted about what she said, along with video of her saying it, last week:

https://upload.democraticunderground.com/1287210938

Maddow on Biden's 2016 DNC speech: Biden "a force of nature," no other politician in her lifetime
"who pulls off that kind of emotion and enthusiasm and authenticity the way that Joe Biden does."

Followed by praise from Lawrence O'Donnell.

Editing to add that Maddow said Biden is "a force of nature on an average Tuesday morning, but you give him a stage, you give him a platform like this..."

Miller, last night: "I think if someone else spoke with a third of the passion and earnestness about Trump's hatefulness that she does, they would benefit."

Maddow describing Biden, three years ago: No other politician in her lifetime "who pulls off that kind of emotion and enthusiasm and authenticity the way that Joe Biden does."

So if it can’t be the Junior Senator he’d be fine with another 4 years of Donnie. Business has been good at MSNBC.

Bernie seems so unlikely to win this time around. Hard to believe Hayes would remain loyal. Guess he doesn't go for Elizabeth. I hear he's got a tingle for Marianne Williamson!

Fortunately, no one cares what Chris Hayes thinks in the real world.
