Watching Beto on CNN at 1st Campaign Stop in Iowa

To me, he's very difficult to listen to. The constant arm flinging is very distracting. He needs to reign that in, slow down and relax a little.

used to his outside rallies where it would not be so unnerving, but like Steve Kornacki, it makes him harder to watch. (I tended to listen, rather than watch).

He does come off much like Obama did during those early days of his campaign--very self-confident and positive.

I would rather have him and this kind of motioning as he speaks passionately than a POTUS who flashes the White Power OK symbol and mocks people physically.....

7. I like Joe and Pete too. We must begin to think about the GOP ticket we might be faced with.

If Trump runs, he may not use Pence as his running mate. He may use Niki...that will be a new wrech into the campaign. Or there may be a completely new ticket with Kaisch/Haley or Hogan/Haley. Wait for it.

We must vet out all of our candidates thoroughly and select the one that has the best chance of smashing the GOP at the polls.

But if so, only because Trump was removed physically from the White House kicking and screaming....

I guess I have considered he might boot Pence from ticket....wasn't sure how that would be done...

But Niki Haley running with him? I don't believe that at all....I think she got away from that orange toxic mess as quickly as possible and will not ever come back....

at all. Relatively general so far, in terms of policy positions, and he'll probably have to start bringing in more specifics pretty soon.

I woke up to see an e-mail from Beto. I got to talk to Beto at the National Convention just briefly. In early 2017, Beto spoke to a small group at a tavern in my county. My son and I got to see Beto up close and he is amazing. I made a couple of rallies and heard him at the state convention. Beto is perhaps the best retail politician that I have seen since President Obama.

I like Beto a great deal and Beto could flip Texas which is a goal that I have been working towards for a very long time. I am still torn between Beto, Biden and Harris but my main goal is anyone but sanders.

American's want someone who is authentic, comfortable in his/her skin, and truthful.

They can pick up when someone is trying to be someone they're not... or acting out of character.

The best candidates are themselves.

He does get overly frantic with his arms but believe it or not it's already improved from early in that Texas race. I expect it will naturally tone down some more.

the national stage. Like all our candidates. What some see as frenzy and over-animated, others see as energy, a dynamic personality and presentation.

I'm eager to see and hear what O'Rourke can bring to the conversation. He's caught the Trumpster's attention which is a plus in my mind, making The Donald sweat.
