Cornyn is so sweaty-palmed about his seat he resigned from Senate leadership to defend it.

Best chance there is O'Rourke. But he's . . . . . . I think running for President.

So why not pressure him to stay in Texas?

Why push Abrams to run for the Senate if O'Rourke gets a pass to go for the brass ring.

Kinda not fair, dontcha think?

I think she needs to work a little more in the national political sphere.

She ran in a state race, not a federal race. That is considerably more winnable especially given the heavy blue slant of 2018. If she runs for senate in 2020 the result would be worse and perhaps much worse. Perdue had a very good approval rating, last I checked...about 18 points positive.

Abrams was rejected by 41% as too liberal for the state and her approval rating in the exit poll was under water at 48-49. She is a good talent but not a special talent, IMO. There is nowhere for her to make headway in the presidential race and two consecutive statewide losses in Georgia would apply a mark.

I know we want to make everyone a superstar. Beto exceeded Democratic expectation in Texas by 9.6%, according to 538. Abrams exceeded expectation by 3%. That's fine but not enough to carry the day against better opponents than Brian Kemp.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

meeting with Joe Biden today was all about. Stacey was mum; Biden's people had no comment, of course.

Oh, to be the fly on the wall!!!
