And thats when I walked past Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
...
A conversation began. Warren told me how she had also dealt with motion sickness and gave me a few ideas on how to overcome and solve the issue. Then she also recounted how one of her own young family members suffered so much from it that her school said she wouldnt be allowed on future school trips. Sen. Warren then explained that it was against the law to discriminate against a person suffering from motion sickness.
You know, I had never met Sen. Warren before. And yet she showed me empathy, asked questions, got the facts, showed me ways to problem-solve my immediate issue and told me how the Americans with Disabilities Act protected my sons rights, if motion sickness were to become a long-term problem for him.
Then, much to my surprise, the next morning I received a personal email from Warren:
Masada I hope your son is feeling better. Motion sickness is no fun for anyone mom or kid. Take care, keep smiling, and persist! Elizabeth

(2,120 posts)I only met her once, just after she won the primary to challenge Scott, "hunting jacket". Brown. Her listening skills and empathy impressed because I had never before met a candidate like her. She continues to impress. If only more voters could meet her face to face, she would be leading in all the polls.

(5,737 posts)Will be an amazing President.
I believe Kamala Harris has great potential, and one day could be a great President, but it would be a shame to put her into office when she is not 100% prepared. She has a very strong background and an amazing personality, but Elizabeth Warren has the familiarity with the Washington way of doing things. She also has had more chance to become familiar with the international aspects of the executive position. I would like to see Harris in the vice presidential position with Warren at the head of the ticket. Then after two terms with Warren, Harris would be absolutely the one to walk into the job. We Democrats, as I've said before, must start to think long-term.
