https://www.inquirer.com/news/donors-pennsylvania-new-jersey-bernie-sanders-small-dollar-act-blue-elizabeth-warren-politics-presidential-primary-20190821.html

An analysis of the data in Pennsylvania and New Jersey (which rank eighth and ninth in small-dollar donations) shows that U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders has the largest and most loyal donor base. He’s trailed widely by Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren. In Pennsylvania, former Vice President Joe Biden is third. In New Jersey, that position is held by home-state Sen. Cory Booker.
For Sanders and Warren, their standing in the two states mirrors their lead in small-dollar donors nationally. Biden and Booker do better in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, respectively, than nationally — where most of their money comes from donors who give more than $200.

Yes, his voters are loyal. But he's already reached Peak Bernie.

16. So he gets his people to donate $3 hundreds of times each to build up the number of donations?

7. He has one donor who has made 825 individual donations since BS set up his campaign....

....in March through June 25 (95 days). That's an average of almost NINE donations per day. 819 of those 825 donations were $3 each.

The NUMBER of "small donations" is totally irrelevant. This person has already maxed out for the year (actually more than maxed out, the total is $21 over the $2800 legal limit)

So what's the difference between ONE contribution of $2800 and 825 contributions totaling $2800? The first one is bad, "from a LARGE donor", the other one is good, from "small donations" (even though they're from one person)

I can't imagine what the point of that would have been, except for bragging rights and to keep the average reported amount down.
