Harris went to a historically black college and sorority, but some black men don't like her history as a prosecutor. Hardly anyone cares that she married a white man.

However, the good news is that Harris is making headway with some of her most ardent detractors. Out of all the candidates, I think the GOP & Russian trolls targeted her the most last year and there's still a lot of damage to undo.

Unfortunately for them, they're the kind of people who think that ghost writing a column for Luther Campbell would have some influence over black voters.
