Bernie Sanders shuts down Meghan McCain in cringeworthy exchange: 'Johnny is not dead'

Saying she was "curious" about "bipartisanship," McCain, whose father is the late Sen. John McCain, challenged Sanders to name congressional Republicans with whom he has a good working relationship.

"Johnny Isakson of Georgia, who is recently retiring," Sanders replied, adding, "Your dad was somebody I worked with."

"But they're dead and now —" McCain pressed.

Sanderes responded, "Johnny is not dead."

...i think you are being generous. Where would Meghan be if her father wasn't McCain. She would have so little to say, as most of her sentences begin: "My father..."
