"SNIP......
Sen. Kamala Harris top donors, including those who have contributed or opened their networks to her, are privately acknowledging that if she doesnt perform well on Thursday, she could start losing the support of wealthy financiers, CNBC reports.
In discussions with donors and those close to lead financiers, there is a growing consensus that the California lawmaker needs to have a strong outing against the nine other contenders if she wants to maintain an alliance with many big money donors that have donated to multiple campaigns, including hers.

(118,778 posts)a fighter. But she has a hard time translating that to a large audience. If you think of it a President isn't making policy or getting bills passed in a large audience. Only in elections does that matter. She would make an excellent president.

(7,702 posts)...Trump means they want a fighter who can cut Trump down to size. She can prove that she can beat Trump by confronting the front-runner on 9/12.

It's actually ok with me. It's the Primaries.
This is the time we Dems can actually enjoy disagreements.
Now is the time to get it out of our "system."
Long before November 2020.

(89,264 posts)but you want that candidate to remain in good standing so you suggest someone else do the dirty work of hurting another candidate.
we have seen how negative attacks CAN work in hurt the candidate targeted but at the same time it often hurts the person doing the attack also. and the person that benefits is someone else entirely .
just look at how the poster has not said the person he has been supporting should go after Biden but instead Harris who he hasn't been shown to support.

(86,005 posts)...the fact that this relatively unknown black woman could knock the former VP off his perch (for however fleeting) is more of a measure of Biden's weakness, than Kamala's.
No one expected that blip to last, and when it evaporated, a media narrative was born. What they should be asking is why Biden is so easily rolled by a little tiff in a debate.
Looks like everyone is eating into his ratings today:

(8,144 posts)than her tough prosecutor scorched earth persona. If she wants to be competitive, she needs to show us the qualifications and experience that puts her ahead of others and her own vision for the
country.
I think her capacity for warmth, her work to right injustice, her record in civil rights support, womens causes, particularly WOC, these are the areas she needs to demonstrate are where she
stands out.
More theatrical tear-down is not the ticket. She used that one up.
