Before anyone else here falls for ANY of the RW smear against Biden, read this factual background

piece which I've been seeing recommended again and again on Twitter in recent days by people including Laurence Tribe, who called it a "helpful explainer of Ukrainegate":

And I agree with what was said about the importance of this background by Just Security editor Asha Rangappa -- a CNN analyst and former FBI special agent -- who tweeted that "the best inoculation against disinformation is to know the facts":

Why would anyone? This is how tRump works...lie smear, create havoc, anything to bring this country down. All paid for by his beloved Dick-tators.

But this is why most institutions have clearly laid out conflict of interest policies that tell employees to avoid even the appearance of a potential conflict of interest. Because it's not unreasonable to ask, in this case, why the Ukrainian gas company thought it was worth it to spend $50,000 a month to have Hunter Biden on its board.

I absolutely don't think Hunter or Biden did anything wrong in connection with their jobs. But Hunter should have done his father a favor and not sought out or accepted big business deals in countries where his father was doing delicate negotiations.

There IS no "dirt" on Joe Biden, or Hunter Biden, or anyone else! Except tRumpski and his Ghoulyana mouthpiece who are trying to give the appearance of dirt to deflect from their own crimes!
