Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumBefore anyone else here falls for ANY of the RW smear against Biden, read this factual background
piece which I've been seeing recommended again and again on Twitter in recent days by people including Laurence Tribe, who called it a "helpful explainer of Ukrainegate":

Trump and Giulianis Quest for Fake Ukraine Dirt on Biden: An Explainer

I'm not going to try to excerpt this. It needs to be read in its entirety.
And I agree with what was said about the importance of this background by Just Security editor Asha Rangappa -- a CNN analyst and former FBI special agent -- who tweeted that "the best inoculation against disinformation is to know the facts":

(108,978 posts)except for the appearance of a potential conflict of interest.
But this is why most institutions have clearly laid out conflict of interest policies that tell employees to avoid even the appearance of a potential conflict of interest. Because it's not unreasonable to ask, in this case, why the Ukrainian gas company thought it was worth it to spend $50,000 a month to have Hunter Biden on its board.
I absolutely don't think Hunter or Biden did anything wrong in connection with their jobs. But Hunter should have done his father a favor and not sought out or accepted big business deals in countries where his father was doing delicate negotiations.
