"SNIP.....

“Kamala Harris is shaking up the top ranks of her presidential campaign, the latest sign her once-promising bid is failing to meet expectations,” Politico reports.

“The staff moves amount to a significant reorganization for a campaign that’s dropped so far in polls that it risks becoming a postscript in the Democratic primary. Harris’ light early-state schedule, hiccups on the trail and lack of consistency in delivering her message have consumed much of the attention and blame for her mounting struggles.”

1. it takes a lot of experience or experienced people

to run a presidential campaign. She's learned some good lessons this time around that I think will help her a lot the next time she runs.

It's looking more and more like it's Warren to me. Warren clearly has the right experience surrounding her, she has the message, she has the energy, and she has the momentum.

2. I think Harris suffers from a smart person dilemma: she too good at details

to speak in the vague, big picture way voters are used to. Some smart people can do it. Some can't.

3. I think smart people break into two groups...

those who make two groups, and those who...

wait no that's not it...

People are who great at the big picture but need help on the little details, and people who are great with the little details but need help on the big picture.

I've not met a lot of smart people who are great at both...maybe one or two.

5. How do you explain Warren or Bill Clinton or Obama who can do both?

And "there are two types of people: those who think there are two types of people and those who don't" is my saying i took from a economics book i was reading in the library in Nova Scotia one time. But you knew that.. it must render on your computer but not on my cell phone.

8. I can't confirm that. Sure many are one extreme or the other but those

with big picture thinking pick up on details if they form a pattern. And detailed people can be experts at anything they are taught..which could be philosophy which is the pinacle of big picture thinking.

9. well I wasn't looking for confirmation

my whole point was in fact that yes "many are one extreme or the other" despite the fact that some can pull both off.

You listed three people who are literally at the apex of humanity, extremely intelligent people who succeeded at the hardest, and one of the most intellectually strenuous jobs on the planet.

so, ya know, exceptions.

4. Warren seems to have gotten the right mix of experienced and new people,

ideologues and down to earth thinkers. A good camoaign needs both. Look at her campaign's labor negotiations and compare that to Bernie's campaign. There was no news coming out as Warren's senior staff negotiated with the Union. Once an agreement that both sides like was reached, a simple statement was released by both sides. We saw what happened with Bernie's senior staff negotiating with the Union. Warren moves flawlessly between states, her immediate staff working seamlessly with state and local staff. At some point, all that stuff starts to matter for people that are looking for a leader, Warren looks like a leader.

Warren is also getting the most favorable press coverage of any candidate since Obama in 2007-2008 …..Franky , I don't believe she is as nearly gifted a politician as Obama ...He was a superstar.....
