CNN: Sanders will leave the hospital "before the weekend" and return to Vermont to rest

Just a quick statement by Brooke Baldwin, nothing specific. I'm sure there'll be an official announcement later today.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Wow... pretty serious. Much MORE than the "outpatient procedure" others have tried to portray this as being.

I'm sure there'll be an official announcement later today.
Or tomorrow, or maybe Saturday. Who knows WHEN it may be. The news "blackout" (so to speak) regarding what happened, his actual condition, what precipitated this, what they knew, when they knew, when they suspected, etc... well... it just seems like the campaign hasn't been entirely forthcoming with people.

All I'm saying is that when it comes to someone who hopes to become the President and Leader of the Free World... the people who support him (and who are still making their decisions) deserve straightforward answers and honesty. It's very strange that this type of transparency hasn't been coming out of the BS camp.

The overall LACK of transparency, and the brevity and infrequency of any news, and the general nondescript detail-free character of any "official word" from the BS camp is an indicator (in my opinion) that things are likely more serious than they're letting on.

I predict that he'll withdraw from the race, and that IF he returns to his role as Senator, he'll resign later... or he'll just fulfill the rest of his term then retire. That's my best guess.

one can safely assume that the situation is far far worse than what people are led to believe.

If his health was really squeaky clean, they'd have the hospital do a presser and have doctors speak to the press. (After a limited waiving of confidentiality of course)

Not to mention, if it is more serious, there may be friends and family he wants to tell personally.

The first votes won't be cast for months - so the process is not impacted by his not putting out his exact medical situation. I don't recall you being one of the people to post when HRC fainted and her team took hours before explaining that she was dealing with pneumonia.

You may be right that he will drop out. I doubt he will leave his Senate seat as that is far less demanding and Phil Scott would name a Republican to replace him.

Could be another 3-4 days in hospital

"We expect Bernie will be discharged and on a plane back to Burlington before the end of the weekend," she said. "He'll take a few days to rest, but he's ready to get back out there and is looking forward to the October debate."
