Eric Garland to NYT on their BS "Biden Struggled" story: Delete your paper

Great thread!

Starting here -- full text below:

"We're the New York Times. We ran with bullshit Trump propaganda AGAIN, it's Joe Biden's fault for not handling it well."

Delete your paper.

No, @deanbaquet, your paper missed the story that forms Trump's impeachment, a mix of profiteering of U.S. foreign policy, selling out the Ukrainian people, Mobsters, and foreign propaganda aimed at our 2020 election.

Biden didn't react badly. Your outlet is a failure.

You can be the Paper of Record, or the Paper That Runs Rudy Giuliani Propaganda, but not both.

You picked.

P.S. @nytimes I think Joe Biden's biggest challenge was burying a wife and two children and surviving strong enough to lead Americans for decades.

Not your coverage.

5. NY Times turned right wing some time ago

As I wrote two weeks ago,

The paper tries to appear left leaning, but routinely publishes things to help the right. At least that's the sense I've gotten over the past several years.

All I'm saying is: keep your guard up. Even if their eporting might often seem fair, even truly fair reporting can often provide cover for pushing right wing ideas.

...as I'm not a Biden fan, Joe's getting hammer for not forcefully defending himself?...against what?

...defending himself against trump and his cabal armed with a truck load of blue smoke and mirrors?

...where's the probable cause?...where's the evidence?...where's the crime?...where's the common sense?

...does the NYT's journalistic hurtle Joe has to meet means he must aggressively respond to every utterance of a lunatic?

...or maybe the NYT's would do better to focus on trump's method of destructive governance?...or follow up on Moscow Mitch's response to killing impeachment?

...I think McConnell and my barber both need to be investigated...

where they come from. The NYT, National Review, MSNBC, et al have their own agendas. Trump has been a boon for the M$M, and I don't think they want to return to a "normal" presidency. Joe Biden represents normalcy, which for the M$M = "boring". I, personally, want a lot more "boring", and whole lot less drama by tweet.

I know Biden is a fighter and he is showing that. But today you can’t sit back and analyze and sanitize each word and phrase you are going to put out. Reactions must be immediate. To those who don’t agree, watch Trump and the right beat Biden before he even gets to the first primary state. This is Bidens responsibility. Not the NYT.

Then again, I think the impact of the NYT is overall great for our country. They are one of the most powerful investigative journalists out there.

His son was attacked and is being dragged through the mud. His work with the Obama administration is being dragged through the mud.

But he just does a standard speech about it. I've watched a bunch of them and there was just no emotion in it, no real passionate defense or pushback. Choice words, to be sure, but that doesn't cut it in this very moment.

All I could think was, "If this is how forcefully he defends his own son, how forcefully will he defend the rest of us?"

...for a pulpit, he has a political party bending to his will, and he has the insanity to do nothing else all day but tear people and institutions down. Oh, and every "respectable" news media outlet feels obligated to report his every utterance because he's potus. In addition, he likes nothing better than to bring people down to his level and wrestle in the mud.

And you think this makes Biden look weak and old school?

Once again: Trump will take his opponents down one by one by one. He's teeing up Warren as we speak, and if he can gut Joe Biden, he will be on Warren full time in a New York minute. And then what?
