Andrew Yang Qualifies for November Democratic Primary Debate in Fourth Qualifying Poll

NEW YORK, NY — Today, presidential candidate Andrew Yang qualified for the November Democratic primary debate in a new qualifying poll released by Quinnipiac University.

In the fourth and final qualifying poll, Yang polled at 3%, putting him in 5th place. He’s now the eighth candidate to qualify for the November debate.

“We have the Candidate. We have the message. We have the momentum. Andrew Yang will keep being the story of the election as he brings his 21st century solutions to that debate stage,” said Campaign Manager Zach Graumann.

Yang recently closed the end of the third fundraising quarter with $10 million in donations and $6.3 million cash on hand.

When the DNC announced the fifth debate qualification criteria on September 23, Yang had already surpassed the grassroots fundraising requirement of 165,000 unique donors. At the end of the third fundraising quarter on Monday, Sept. 30, Yang had 300,000 unique donors and a $30 average donation amount.

The fifth Democratic debate will take place in Westerville, Ohio, on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
