Democratic Primaries

PoliticoChallengers to several members of New York City's congressional delegation have brought in substantial fundraising hauls, according to records filed this week with the Federal Election Commission.
Prominent Democratic incumbents including Reps. Eliot Engel, Jerry Nadler, Carolyn Maloney and Yvette Clarke have all drawn challengers running as insurgents, seeking to repeat the upset that propelled Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to victory over former Rep. Joe Crowley last year.
In Brooklyn, Clarke faces a rematch against Adem Bunkeddeko, who narrowly missed knocking her off last year. He raised $143,392 from the time he launched his campaign in late July through the end of September beating the incumbents fundraising for the same period. Clarke brought in $114,824 in the quarter.
In another closely watched rematch, attorney Suraj Patel netted $100,698 in just 12 days after launching his campaign last month. Maloney got $303,760 in donations for the quarter.

(83,793 posts)I googled her health issues and only came up with some awesome work she has focused on:
Helping to pass legislation that targets the demand side of sex trafficking
Legislation that provides annual mammograms for women on Medicare
The Debbie Smith Act, which increases funding for law enforcement to process DNA rape kits
Legislation to create Womens Health Offices in five federal agencies, which was part of the health care reform legislation signed by President Obama
The Breastfeeding Promotion Act to protect breastfeeding in the workplace under civil rights law and make it illegal for women to lose their jobs or otherwise be discriminated against for expressing milk during lunchtime or on breaks
Advocating for international women's health and family planning programs supported by the United Nations Population Fund
Advocating for legislation that would require the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to conduct a comprehensive comparative study of vaccinated and unvaccinated populations to rebut claims of a link between autism and vaccine components
Her interest to health and wellness issues extends to other areas as well. In addition to being a co-founder and co-chair of the Congressional Working Group on Parkinson's Disease, she serves on the boards of the Michael Stern Parkinson's Research Foundation and the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
I assume you are not her doctor, perhaps a very close friend that is privy to her health issues that are not made public.

(25,472 posts)I guess that qualifies as a "health issue" to some. I'm reminded of the reaction to Hillary Clinton having a similar issue in the 2016 campaign.

(25,472 posts)significant enough to influence voters, though perhaps you feel otherwise.
There was, of course, much consternation when Hillary Clinton had a fainting spell. Consternation I personally found ridiculous.
