Thanks for that info.

And now the new story is that she doesn't control who supports her, a seeming attempt at framing the story away from how she fell for the bait from Hillary Clinton's allegations, which in hindsight, she should have decline comment of.

What's that old adage: "Better to be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt"?

In this case it would be: "Better to be thought an asset than to out one's self and remove all doubt."

Sun Oct 20, 2019, 09:17 AM
Oct 2019
Screenings of the film, “The Magnitsky Act — Behind the Scenes,” have been canceled in Europe after threats of libel suits from William F. Browder, an American-born financier who fell afoul of the Russian government and hired Mr. Magnitsky, a lawyer and auditor, to investigate a vast tax fraud scheme after the government seized three of his Russian subsidiaries.

*******************************************************************************************

In April, a screening of the film at the European Parliament was called off at the last minute after lawyers for Mr. Browder threatened legal action. The British law firm Carter-Ruck also sent a letter to Arte, a German-French television network that planned to broadcast the film.

In the United States, Mr. Nekrasov has retained the Potomac Square Group, a small public affairs and lobbying firm that has worked for Bahrain, Kuwait and Azerbaijan, among other foreign governments. It is run by Christopher Cooper, a former Wall Street Journal reporter. Mr. Cooper rented the theater in the Newseum and declined to say who was paying his company. “I’m putting this event together for the director,” he said.

Anyone who follows this stuff at all knew HRC had to be talking about TG, the only one who has had the Russian claim made about her and plenty of times. Heck, you could probably find it in a hundred DU posts. From the Hawaii Free Press:

Tulsi Gabbard Hires Russian Agent to Keep Hawaii Media in Check
by Andrew Walden
January 5, 2018

Russia has lots of experience in media censorship. So perhaps it is logical that Rep Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI-2) hires an agent of the Russian government as a ‘consultant’ to keep Hawaii media under control.

But Gabbard’s consultant, Chris Cooper of the Potomac Square Group, is no ordinary Russian agent. Cooper is allegedly one of seven identified as being at the center of illegal Russian lobbying efforts reaching into the Trump campaign and Congress.

Sun Oct 20, 2019, 09:52 AM

Gabbard was polling so low that she obviously was not going to win anything, or even exert any influence over the primaries. Her threat to flounce from the primaries was ludicrous; no one would have cared. But now, with these accusations from Clinton, Gabbard is getting more publicity than her campaign could pay for. The very fact that Clinton -- who so many people irrationally hate -- is dumping on Gabbard will get her supporters. The best possible strategy was simply to ignore Gabbard and watch her faded away, but now she has legs.

And that Tulsi Gabbard has hired one of their ilk to work on her campaign. They're like an opportunistic infection on our body politic - and a very pernicious one at that. This is just one more reason why it would be far better to impeach Trump now, so that he is immediately taken out of the 2020 race. The clear and present danger that Trump poses to our democracy is just too great to do otherwise. With this many Democratic candidates in the race, Trump and the Russians are having a field day slicing and dicing up the Democratic field, sowing chaos and division, in order to weaken the Democratic brand overall. Maybe Hillary had a stroke of genius - let's face it, she IS a genius - to throw out the anonymous bait, so Tulsi would take it.

One of the posters in this thread mentioned a CULT - which I kind of suspected at the last debate, the way she bandied about the term "regime change wars", suggesting that it had some kind of special significance within her particular brand of anti-war ideology. Can anyone enlighten me on this cult aspect?
